Because I had great expectations for this movie, after I started to be disappointed in the middle, the viewing angle at the back became slightly emotional.
I am indeed a little disappointed. First of all, I think the male lead's acting skills are not enough. In some scenes, I was looking forward to some reactions from the male lead, but there were none, but some scenes were done well. Basically, the scenes about love with the female lead were all played. Yes, but the scenes with Joe and Lustig are not enough, and what struck me the most was the re-encounter with Joe and Lustig in the second half, but neither of them performed well. At the same time, the male protagonist is more in love with Estella, and he is so obsessed with love that he underestimates family affection. I don't like this in itself, and I didn't feel the male protagonist's growth or his love in the whole process. The exploration has basically not changed much from the beginning to the end. I also feel that the heroine's line is not progressive, it is very abrupt, and suddenly it is either provocative or true love. The ending of the movie was too hasty, and many stories that could have been developed well did not develop, especially the scene where the male protagonist hugs Arthur in the car at the end, I think the male protagonist really can't act any better, obviously very Emotional, I have the impression that I acted entirely because of the male lead.
Then talk about the good parts, many scenes are very well shaped, very classic, such as fountain kisses. The Old Lady, Arthur and Joe are the best and worthy of the seasoned actors. The old woman really played the image of a man who was in the pain of being abandoned for more than 40 years and wanted to take revenge on a man with Estella. Arthur also played a prisoner who was originally ferocious and then discovered that the good guards the good and truly redeemed, Joe He is also a great character. He is diligent, conscientious, and happy. He does not complain about fate, does not blame abandonment, but also takes responsibility for raising the male protagonist to be proud of the male protagonist. Subjectively, I think the male protagonist is far from worthy of Joe's. The male protagonist is really too lowly and lowly in spirit. Not only that, I haven't seen his growth yet, but he gave me an explanation at the end, what is this? Excuse me. After Joe was kicked out of the art exhibition by him, he immediately ran to the female lead and asked what this is, the male lead should not be so greedy and overly affectionate with kisses, and then nothing happened. So I really don't like the hero and heroine at all, and I can't see the value of the love in them from their performances. Everything is explained by myself. I don't like it so much, I want to give it two stars now. BTW, I think the acting was very good when I was a child. I would like to give our little actor a compliment.
I'm so disappointed, I may re-brush in the future, but after all, it's because my expectations are relatively high, well, at least one thing to confirm now is that I want to read the novel! ! ! In Dickens' novel, the details can definitely recreate the place where the male protagonist's embarrassing acting skills appear, so although the movie is very disappointing, it does not hinder my expectations for the novel.
There are still many details worth discussing, this is just a superficial film review on likes and dislikes.
