Could it be that it has been a long time since I finished reading this book? Why do I feel so different between the TV show and the book?
Indra is a new addition to the show. It feels like a failure to shape a world into a world created by Indra, and the collapse of the world in the end or because of Indra's collapse?
Remember in the book that the basis for stabilizing this new world is embryonic technology and what seems to be a technology called sleep education. But in the TV show, it's all weakened. Basically, I didn't see the content of these two parts, and there were also descriptions of the characters.
The original is a dystopian novel, and the TV series is completely sci-fi.
In fact, it is right for TV series to use emotion and feeling as the entry point of dystopia, but some of them put too much emphasis on describing this point and downplay utopia. Dystopia is to describe the utopian world better, then emotions and feelings will be more important for dystopia. In the play, this beautiful new London only has beautiful scenery, and other descriptions except sex are just passing by.
Also, this show seems to make me feel like watching Westworld. Does the ending imply that there might be a second part?
