1. "No One Survives" (the film's main psychology/morality) + "Butterfly Effect" (and this film focuses more on "no one is an island" compared to the interlocking story told by Butterfly), which are common in science fiction films. It is rare that the main idea is fully embodied in a suspense film!
2. This family has basically committed all seven deadly sins.
Father: Greed, Arrogance (? Slight lust?) Angry
female: jealous
(quasi) son-in-law: cheating is more irresponsible and scumbag than lust
Mother: arrogant, angry
Children: anger, gluttony (the film is more focused on "overdrinking"?), lust (not its own character, but acquired character + original family)
3. The interlocking behavior of the family led to the tragedy of eva's suicide, and everyone has an inescapable responsibility (but in that era, due to class differences, they didn't take it for granted, which was the most terrible) but always The daughter's "sin" is the least, and her remorse, empathy and sympathy are stronger (same for the son)
The level of regret and sympathy ability of the family is divided into three echelons, the son and daughter are the strongest, the son-in-law is second but below the average, and the parents are the weakest. Therefore, it is more effective to say that only the "influence" of the detective on the children is more effective.
4. A small bug: I only found out when I saw my father calling at the end of the film: the story happened in AD1912, and those who have watched "Downton Abbey" know that the phone call at that time is not like this! (I chose Downton as a reference because Downton's original story also began in AD1912 and the textual research in all aspects of this show was impeccable)
I forgot the exact number of Downton's telephones, but it must have been after 1920. The telephones of that period were almost like this:
??? But the phone in the film looks like this:
But the plot is full of ups and downs, the characters are full enough, and the suspenseful reversal is strong enough. This is a small bug case??
