The 12-plus-1 model of recruiting, and building and utilizing fortifications to win more with less, is a nod to Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai. Justice has overcome the ignorance and brutality of Bushido this time. In contrast, "One Life" is much more desperate. The lord is the brother of the shogun, and the shogunate secretly acquiesced in the assassination, and finally officially announced that the lord died of illness on the way back to the domain. The trouble was dealt with, the family scandal was covered, and the face was taken care of. It can be said to be an ancient political wisdom that is applicable both at home and abroad. The action scenes show blood and fists to the flesh, and roughness is the best comment on the beauty of violence. The director vividly depicts the lord's tyranny and arrogance, a typical anti-social personality, and his expression is indifferent when killing people, like stepping on an ant to death. Before ravaging the girl, he grabbed the girl's hair and dragged it to the inner room, then kicked the girl down with one foot, and the mechanical smoothness of the closing door enhanced the impression of cruelty. When he drew a knife and stabbed the girl's husband from behind, he didn't hesitate, and he held a bow and shot a live target in the courtyard to kill the relatives of the retainers who had cut the abdomen to death. It was even more outrageous. When the female victim whose limbs were cut off and her tongue was cut off appeared in front of the screen, she was horrified. Finally, when the head of the retainer who was desperately protecting him was cut off and rolled to his feet, he kicked the ball away.
