Synopsis
In 1946, an American court sentenced German spy John to 20 years in prison, while his daughter Alicia (Ingrid Bergman) was also under surveillance.
In fact, Alicia is very patriotic, and she has long hated what her father did.
But her father's imprisonment still made her very uncomfortable, and she could only invite a group of friends to get drunk at home.
At the party, a strange man named Devlin (Cary Grant) catches her attention.
He was graceful and handsome, and a drunk Alicia invited him for a drive.

This is the twelfth Hitchcock work that I share. Although the reputation is not top-notch, it also brings together two Hollywood superstars, Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman. Ingrid Bergman's frown and smile in the film are eye-catching, and I want to watch several scenes over and over again, and Cary Grant is the most tender film I've ever seen.
In fact, if you watch too many Hitchcock movies, you will feel like watching Qiong Yao's drama, because the plot always has an unrealistic romance, which is dog blood. For example, the two protagonists in the film fell in love with each other inexplicably. Not only that, but they also became arrogant and arrogant at the same time, "loving and killing each other", which made us, as the audience, very tangled.
The overall film is somewhat similar to Hitchcock's famous work "North by Northwest". Although it is far from being produced, it is still very similar in terms of story content. Especially the theme, I think both films are discussing love, and the description of love in "Beautiful Woman" is more detailed, we can deeply feel the suspicion and hypocrisy between a couple who just got together.

And Hitchcock's use of human nature as the key to the protagonist's escape from the tiger's mouth is the finishing touch. In the film, the heroine is a dead end, and the suspicion between the villains has become the only breakthrough. This also reflects from the side that the failure of the Nazis was certain. In the final scene of the film, Sebastian stepped on the stairs, and the trembling back was closed and disappeared. The ending is self-evident. The director used this technique to draw a successful end to the film.
