I accidentally saw a clip of the film "Hitler is Back" on the Internet, and I felt very novel at that time. It should be a very interesting film. After reading some reviews, most of them said that this movie is worth watching, and I became more interested in this movie. I just had some free time in the afternoon to enjoy this movie.
The main plot of the movie is not complicated, that is, it is about Hitler's safe passage into modern society due to some mysterious factor. At the beginning, Hitler's old-fashionedness was out of tune with modern society, forming a contrast and triggering a series of laughs. Under the accidental digging of freelance journalist Savatsky, the Fuhrer entered the live TV industry. The leaders of the TV station, Bellini and Christoph, arranged all TV resources for Hitler for the sake of ratings. The Führer took advantage of the dissemination of live TV and his superior speech skills to instigate a new group of followers in the new era, and he was about to implement a new Nazism in Germany. The film finally ended with the head of state with a smug smile.
Although this film is a comedy, it makes people unable to laugh when watching it. First, the laughter is relatively boring, and second, the connotation is too profound. When it comes to connotation, in my opinion, the film is mainly about anti-populism and anti-Nazi. Human nature can always be manipulated. Whether it was before or now, the public always pays attention to their own interests. As long as their own interests are satisfied, it doesn’t matter whether it is true democracy or false democracy. Most of the public will not consider the overall situation and the future. Perhaps There is no need to consider these. Therefore, votes are cast for those who can benefit them. In the film, Hitler takes advantage of this, using his familiar populism to win over supporters once again. It is foreseeable that the future in the film must be Hitler's use of elections to regain his position as head of state. The film guides reflection, populist and Nazi ideology, which exists all the time. Later, I also used the mouth of the Führer to tell this point, that Hitler actually existed in the public. Always be vigilant, Hitler's Nazi wave repeats itself!
Let's talk about characters. Hitler in the film has always been himself, quickly integrated in the new era, and has a strong ability to learn and accept. Among the crowd, he has been soberly implementing his plan. Knowing in his heart that others regard him as a joke, but in the end he regards others as a joke. Savatsky, a freelance journalist, was a frustrated man who discovered Hitler for his own sake. Hitler did bring his career achievements to the top, but Hitler's influence also made him wary. In the film, he is the only one who finally wakes up. The final ending implies that he once wanted to solve the devil himself, but was still attacked by the devil. Director Bellini is a strong woman and a racist. For the sake of ratings, she has expanded Hitler's influence in modern society and has become the Führer's best assistant. Deputy Director Christoph is a repeated villain. In order to achieve his own goals, he can use any means, whether it is populism or democracy, but it is just a tool for his own promotion. Of course, there is still a sober public in the film. The middle-level leaders of the TV station, the Jewish grandma who experienced the Nazi period, and the indignant German passers-by are all opposed to Hitler, whether true or not. However, it is unknown whether the sober people are a small part or a large part.
Overall, this movie is still worth watching. A film that can bring reflection, will never go bad.
