[Short review written on October 1, 2018]
Although known as "Brokeback Mountain" in 2018, unlike "Brokeback Mountain", Johnny, the male protagonist of "Children of God in Love", does not need to face pressure from the outside world. The film focuses on Johnny's personal growth, from a cold man to a responsible man. - Therefore, the film's description of Johnny is very delicate and precise, three dimensions of friendship (the sheep that are about to leave him), love (one-night stand with sex and no love), family (parents always blame), plus the long-term trapped in The desolate land fully reflects Johnny's loneliness and helplessness. - Johnny's body is covered with thorns, always attacking those who are close to him, so when Gheorghe appears, Johnny immediately despises him for coming all the way here. Johnny's deep eyes and obvious double eyelids, looks like a person with a story, can't help attracting the attention of the audience. - Although the movie contains many erotic scenes, a closer look reveals the director's uncanny workmanship. The first time taciturn went straight to my realm, the second time it was a foreplay, Gheorghe began gently, reflecting the process of their relationship from groping to establishment.
