The film tells the story of a werewolf who broke the agreement to kill the villagers when the country girl Valerie planned to elope with her childhood sweetheart, causing a commotion in the town.
A long time ago, the villagers of Jianjiao Village reached an agreement with a local werewolf. The villagers were willing to sacrifice livestock to the werewolf on a full moon night, in order to obtain peace between the werewolves and the villagers. This state has been maintained for decades. However, on a blood moon night, the agile and powerful werewolf broke this agreement and killed the villager Valerie's sister.
Valerie is young, beautiful, and charming. She is in love with Peter, the tree-cutter, but her parents dislike Peter's poverty and betrothed her to Henry without Valerie's consent. Henry's family is rich and powerful. Riley couldn't convince his parents to refuse, and could only plan to elope with Peter, but the tragic death of his sister Lucy disrupted all these plans.
The villagers did not know that werewolves would exist in human form, and they went up the mountain together. Henry's father was killed by a wolf, and he killed a wolf in the wolf's den, so they naively thought it was a werewolf. It wasn't until Father Solomon came along that some of them began to believe that werewolves were among them. Trust among the villagers begins to crumble, and the presence of werewolves makes them suspicious of each other.
The night the werewolf came, Valerie discovered that she could actually talk to it. The werewolf tells Valerie that they are the same and asks her to go with him. She could not forget the werewolf's eyes, it was a pair of brown eyes. Valerie begins to suspect that it is her grandmother, and the werewolf's familiarity with her further confirms this.
Valerie was revealed, and people thought she was a witch, and planned to use her as bait to lure and kill werewolves. Luckily, Valerie was rescued by Peter and Henry that night, so she wasn't taken by the werewolf.
As her grandmother's suspicions continue to increase, Valerie takes Father Solomon's severed hand and decides to kill her grandmother. However, at this time it was no longer grandma in the house - grandma had been killed. The werewolf is Valerie's father. Because his identity has been detected by his grandmother, he brutally killed his mother in order to hide from others. Originally, she was going to take her family to the city, but she found that Lucy could not understand the wolf language and realized that it was not her own child.
Lucy is actually Henry's half-brother - when Valerie complained to her mother that she didn't love Henry at all, and that she had someone she liked, her mother said that she didn't love her father either, and she also had other people. The person she liked, but then she fell in love, so Lucy was actually the person she secretly liked, Henry's father, and the werewolf insisted on taking Valerie because Valerie was his descendant and should have Inherit the blood of the wolf clan and go with him to a larger hunting ground.
The kind Valerie refused, but she could not resist the werewolf in her powers. Just one bite from him will transform Valerie into a real werewolf. At this critical moment, Peter appeared, and the two of them worked together to plunge the weapons they brought into the werewolf's chest.
In the process of fighting the werewolf, Peter was bitten by the werewolf and became a werewolf from then on. But Valerie, who loved him deeply, did not give up on him, and Peter also learned to control his animal nature. In the end they lived in the deep forest and had offspring, and they lived happily ever after.
