Jane Eyre

I'm glad I didn't read the original! Fan Deng has a reading club. Fan Deng said that they spend an hour a week telling everyone about a book. They are not afraid of telling the content of the book and people will not buy it to read it. Aroused everyone's interest, knowing that this is a good book and then reading the whole book, the effect has proved to be excellent. And I think this film is a two-hour reading club! I think Jane Eyre is a good movie. The film adopts the narrative form of reverse sequence and interlude to tell the story of Jane Eyre, the heroine, and her love story with Rochester, the heroine. The narrative of the story and the development of the plot always carry the hearts of the audience. There are no exaggerated physical performances, and even the expressions are so "stingy", but it is through this quiet and even a little quiet narrative scene that it reflects the inner feelings of the hero and heroine. Loneliness also reflects the inner waves of the audience. The film's depiction of clothing, architecture, and scenery is very meticulous. It is carefully carved at first glance. The color tone is mainly gray. The soundtrack is very simple, but it highlights the paleness of the characters' hearts, which is in line with the overall atmosphere of the film.

However, it may be the issue of the length of the movie, only two hours, it is difficult to support the content of the entire original. The interlude is a bit confusing, and I don't know how long the main line has gone through. The portrayal of the love development between Jane Eyre and Rochester is too hasty, and I haven't experienced much, just a few encounters, a few paragraphs After the conversation, the two fell in love, and even the heroine returned to the hero later. All of this was a bit sudden, with less attraction and resonance in the soul, and less emotion and struggle in the heart. Of course, all of this attracts me to read the original book more, so I said that this film is more like a two-hour book club, and I'm also glad that I haven't read the original book.

I used to watch the Korean drama "Winter Sonata". In the end, the male protagonist Jiang Junshang lost his sight. The female protagonist Li Weizhen found him and made a noise when he bumped into something. The male protagonist asked, "Who's there? Virgin?" Junshang." And fell into the arms of the male protagonist, snuggling together under the sunset. I always thought that this movie would do the same. However, after the male protagonist touched his hand, he said it was Jane Eyre, which made me feel a little regretful. But it's normal to think about it, the two do not have such a deep emotional foundation in this film. I hope the original can fill the void in my heart.

Time aside, this is a very good movie. I hope I can see good movies every week, and give my soul more enjoyment and appreciation in my spare time.

Jane Eyre quotes

  • Jane Eyre: I have lived a full life here. I have not been trampled on. I have not been petrified. I have not been excluded from every glimpse of what is bright. I have known you, Mr. Rochester, and it strikes me with anguish to be torn from you.

Rochester: Then why must you leave?

Jane Eyre: Because of your wife.

    Rochester: I have no wife.

Jane Eyre: But you are to be married.

    Rochester: Jane, you must stay.

Jane Eyre: I'm become nothing to you?...

    [near tears]

Jane Eyre: Am I a machine with out feelings? Do you think that because I am poor, plain, obscure, and little that I am souless and heartless? I have as much soul as you and full as much heart. And if God had possessed me with beauty and wealth, I could make it as hard for you to leave me as it is for I to leave you... I'm not speaking to you through mortal flesh. It is my spirit that addresses your spirit, as if we'd have passed through the grave and stood at God's feet equal. As we are.

Rochester: [taking her arms] As we are.

Jane Eyre: [trying to pull away] I am a free human being with an independent will, which I now exert to leave you.

Rochester: Than let you will decide your destiny. I offer you my hand, my heart. Jane, I ask you to pass through life at my side. You are my equal and my likeness... Will you marry me?

Jane Eyre: Are you mocking me?

    Rochester: Do you doubt me?

    Jane Eyre: Entirely.

  • Rochester: [sitting on the steps] This spring, I came home heart sore and soul withered. Then I met a gentle stranger whose society revives me. With her, I feel like I could live again in a higher, purer way.

    [looking at Jane]

Rochester: Tell me... Am I justified in over leaping an obstacle of custom to obtain her?

    Jane Eyre: There's an obstacle?

    Rochester: A mere conventional impediment.

Jane Eyre: But what can it be? If you cherish an affection, sir than fortune alone cannot impede you.

    Rochester: Yes.

Jane Eyre: And if the lady is of noble stock and has indicated that she may reciprocate.

Rochester: [bewildered] Jane, of whom do you think I speak?

    Jane Eyre: Of Ms. Ingram.

Rochester: [rising to his feet] I am asking what Jane Eyre would do yo secure my happiness.

Jane Eyre: I would do anything for you, sir. Anything that was right.

Rochester: ...You transfix me quite. I feel I can speak to you now of my lovely one. If you've met her and know her. She's a rare one, isn't she? Fresh and healthy, without soil or taint. I'm sure she'd regenerate me with a vengeance.
