"Party and Diversity" 9.0

"Party to Fight Differing" is a super blockbuster in the true sense of the word. The word "blockbuster" was coined to accommodate "Party and Dissent", to differentiate it from the usual "blockbusters."

Since its premiere in 1916, more than 100 years have passed in a flash. There are countless epics that rise and fall one after another on the screen. There are countless ambitious big directors and big plans. Griffith and he are extremely avant-garde and extravagant. The "Party with the same party", always the most majestic and the most peak.

From California in 1914 AD, to Palestine in 27 AD, to Paris, France in 1572 AD, and then to the Middle East in 539 BC, 4 parallel cuts in time and space, oscillating back and forth for two thousand years, without script and mirror, Go hand in hand and interweave.

Especially when everything went to massacre and tragedy because of "inability to love and tolerate", "Little Cutie" chased the train that the mayor was riding in, trying to get amnesty for his lover. Previously, the man frantically traversed the city in a slaughter frenzy in an attempt to rescue his lover, while the "girl of the mountain" drove from the Persian camp to the city of Babylon in a carriage, trying to warn her beloved king.

Cars, trains, carriages, horses, this is a parallel clip that oscillates back and forth for thousands of years, or rather, throughout human history. Majestic and tragic.

So I had a whim, why not put those desperate people into the same picture? Well, this is a bit too pioneering.

DW Griffith is interesting. His admirers think that "movies start with Griffith", and his doubters will patiently give you popular science one by one——

Griffith did not invent "editing", the first film to be edited was Edwin Porter's 1903 "Life of an American Firefighter."

The famous "last-minute rescue" is not the first of Griffiths. Danish director Ming Christensen's "The Mysterious X" in 1914 already has a clear last-minute rescue plot. Even plots such as "multi-line narrative", "cross-cutting" and "strong wife saves wronged husband" are actually in it.

Griffith took dyeing techniques to the extreme, but it wasn't his first.

I would prefer to say that Griffith is not a trailblazer, but he is the first big hit in film history, and the next one, in 1941, when the 26-year-old made Citizen Kane.

Griffith's status in film history is also reflected in the fact that when he made the notorious but box-office "Birth of a Nation", he was considered to be an excellent director who had been tested by the market. Entrusted with the important task and given the "unlimited right to fire", Director Ge is naturally unambiguous, and used the extravagant and extremely cold artistic experiment of "Party Sameness" to show the studio bosses the first generation "Director's dream" , a producer's nightmare".

The studios who were miserable, gritted their teeth and lingered fear, and further improved the producer system. The beautiful era when directors spent money like flowing water by their temperament seems to be over.

Well, in fact, we all know that those stubborn and willful directors are only temporarily dead and smug, and they are always waiting for a comeback.
