Dick played by Jim wants to be anyone around us, even ourselves-hard work, hard performance, looking forward to a promotion and salary increase, and let the family live a better life. But when he finally reached his dream, he was cheated by the company and lost his job. What's more miserable is that even his wife Jane thought that she could not show her face and went home to be a young grandmother and lost her job. The economic recession makes people like them unable to put down their stature in middle age and encounter difficulties in finding jobs. As a result, they become thieves and bandits in hopes of getting out of poverty.
Fortunately, Dick & Jane is living in the world of movies, not the cruel real world. Otherwise I think their life like this is not funny at all, and it is usually very miserable. Poor and lowly couples are sad, I am afraid they will die soon with their children! Therefore, I have to admire that the movie world is the beautiful Utopia. Even the robbers for the sake of poverty can be grandiose, and it is so humorous and relaxed.
The whole movie doesn't feel like a big production, but it is one of Jim Carey's worthwhile movies. Compared to He Jennifer Aniston, I think he and Tea Leoni are better chemically.
In fact, when I was watching this film, my heart was so heavy when I was laughing. Because I saw the moment when Dick & Jane started to be thieves, I suddenly thought of a Japanese TV show-Save the Poverty Campaign, which looked at how to get out of poverty from a serious and heavy angle. Those who had failed, accepted the challenge of cultivating, and the assiduous expression of learning from the beginning suddenly flashed across my head. I found that Westerners seem to think that they can choose to be a thief when they are poor, and they seem to have a very open view, and most of us Eastern people’s thinking of "stand up from where you fall" and never be a thief is really true. A big conflict. Perhaps this concept is our good dedication to maintain a kind of social peace.
But to be honest, the love between the two couples who are not desperate in poverty really touched me.
Actually, do I really have Fun With Dick & Jane? Seriously, I think if something like this happened to me, I would never think it would be fun.
