"Sweet November" tells a poignant love story. The male protagonist Nelson is a famous designer of an advertising company, but because he is busy with his work, he neglects his girlfriend, which leads to emotional breakdown. Misfortunes do not come singly, the new advertising plan he worked so hard to prepare failed, and he fell into a trough in his career. At this time, a girl named Sarah broke into Nelson's life after a driver's license test, which also brought him a change.
Sarah invites Nelson to live together for a month, for a life makeover, and breaks up when the time comes. And when Nelson accepted the invitation, he gradually felt the joy of life. During the month, Nelson rediscovered the world under Sarah's leadership, helping others walk their dogs by the sea, taking the boy who lost his dad to a sailing race, and attending a transvestite neighbor's house dinner. From the script, the story has some narrative imperfections. For example, the scene where the two meet is the driver's license test. But as a patient with little time and no car of her own, Sarah's motivation for taking her driver's license was not clear enough. In addition, the male protagonist Nelson's attitude towards Sarah has changed from disgust at the beginning to love, which is not reasonable enough to pave the way for this change.
From the actors' point of view, the two leading actors Keanu Reeves and Charlize Theron contributed extremely good performances. They show different character states at different psychological stages of the characters, and describe the psychological transformation of the characters very delicately.
