The first commandment, you shall have no other gods before me. (3 sections)
The second commandment is not to make idols for yourself, nor to make any image like the things that are in heaven and earth, and things under the earth and water. Do not bow down to those images, and do not serve them, for I, the LORD your God, are jealous God. I will punish those who hate me, from fathers to sons, to the third and fourth generations; and to those who love me and keep my commandments, I will show mercy to a thousand generations. (verses 4-6)
The third commandment shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him innocent who takes the name of the LORD in vain. (verse 7)
Fourth Commandment: Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On this day you shall do no work, neither your sons and daughters, your servants, your servants, your livestock, nor your strangers in your cities; for in six days the LORD made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and all that is in them; It rests in seven days, so the LORD blessed the Sabbath and made it holy. (verses 8-11)
Fifth Commandment Honor your father and mother, that your days may be long in the land which the LORD your God is giving you. (12 verses)
The sixth commandment is not to kill. (verse 13)
The seventh commandment is not to commit adultery. (verse 14)
The eighth commandment is not to steal. (verse 15)
The ninth commandment is not to bear false witness against others. (verse 16)
The tenth commandment: You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, servants, ox and donkey, and all that he has.
