In the past few days, I started watching Jackie Chan's movie. I accidentally clicked on "Jedi Escape". I felt friendly, but I still felt full of slots.
Hong Kong detective Chen Gangsheng (played by Jackie Chan) tracked and traced Wang Weidong (played by Zhao Wenxuan), who was a businessman on the surface but was actually the boss of the underworld for more than ten years. He also involved his niece Bai Shu (Fan Bingbing). In this "Jedi escape" attacked by the Chinese special police, Wang Weidong, and Russian gangsters, Benny met Connor (Johnny Knoxville), the best partner who was in trouble. As a killer hunts down a fleeing American gambler, it's unclear how the trio will end their adventure.
The style of watching this movie seems to be a bit like "Tai 囧" played by Xu Zheng. It is two people who have nothing to do with each other who get to know each other for some reason and complete an unexpected journey. "Thai Embarrassment" is dedicated to bringing the embarrassment of several protagonists' journeys to the extreme, full of laughter and golden sentences. Most comedies are always a bit of a joke for the sake of comedy. "Thailand" is like this. The great escape in Thailand took the audience to visit some famous tourist attractions in Thailand. After the movie was released, it also boosted Thailand's tourism economy.
Jackie Chan stated that he would start the shooting of "Jedi Escape" because of the praise "Kung Fu Dream" received around the world, saying that "China is so beautiful". So he decided to bring some of China's beautiful geographical environment and culture to the United States and introduce it to other foreigners around the world.
Out of this desire, scenes in different places were deliberately added during the filming process. The filming locations are Guilin, Hong Kong, Macau, Mongolia, and Russia in mainland China. After watching the whole movie, it was like traveling in the world of movies. The producer is still full of sincerity, and did not say to reduce the number of live-action shooting, but to shoot as much as possible. The customs of various places also let me get it, it seems that I have taken a customs class, not after watching the movie, but after laughing, there is no gain.
Another surprise of the movie is Fan Bingbing's performance. Although this is Fan Bingbing's old movie, I am still fascinated by her prosperous beauty. Fan Bingbing has been hidden in the entertainment industry since the tax evasion incident, and no one wants to find her for filming, which is really a pity. Although her acting skills are always criticized, saying that she is just a vase, but occasionally some of her works will burst people's eyeballs. However, it is true that illegal things cannot be done. If you do, you will end up doing it.
I feel that if the whole movie is shown to foreigners, they will watch it with relish. Just like we look at foreign Marvel series, Terminator series, 007 series. In fact, the plot is not a big deal. It is better than the actors' performances, heroic plots, and foreign scenery. When foreign audiences watch "The Jedi Run", they can see Chinese kung fu, Jackie Chan's hard-working performance, not relying on special effects.
After complimenting so much, I still can't help but complain about it!
1. Jackie Chan is really old!
Jackie Chan, who filmed this movie, was 61 years old at the time, and he was already a complete old man. Fan Bingbing played his goddaughter, who was just the right age. Several of Jackie Chan's standard fighting scenes, whether in rhythm or ferocity, were not as neat as he did in the "Police Story" series. If it only took him 10 seconds to do an action scene in the "Police Story" series, then this "Jedi Run" might take 20 seconds. The audience can still see this subtle change, after all, we grew up watching Jackie Chan's movies!
2. In order to achieve the effect of "Thai Embarrassment", deliberately going to multiple venues to shoot is indeed a bit redundant for some plots.
From Russia to Macau, it is possible to take a plane, but in order to achieve the effect of traveling around most of China, it is far-fetched to have a drama of "burning passports".
From Mongolia to Macau, there are actually many places to take pictures on the way, but in order to show the beautiful scenery of our country, we chose Guilin. Inserting "The Voice of America" in the middle of Mongolia really makes people feel unrealistic, how can Mongolians, men, women and children sing Adele's classic songs. Aren't Chen Gangsheng and his partner on the run? Why do you still have time to participate in the mud-splashing festival in Guilin, sing "Clear and Clear" to your heart, put on lanterns, and finally come to a "Myth" with the same style to keep warm. Isn't this a classic that ruined Jackie Chan's own?
In the movie played by Jackie Chan, I can give full marks to the feelings alone. However, we are honest people, and we still picked out two faults.
In the film, the combination of Jackie Chan and Johnny, the brothers and sisters in difficulty, has rarely truly produced a "chemical reaction" of the combination of "Chinese and foreign actors". This pair of happy enemies not only must work together, but also destroy each other's "schematic infighting", dedicated a lot of joke. I have to commend Johnny Knoxville's wonderful performance. In this film, Johnny's performance is very devoted. Various chase fights and "suffering" scenes are all shot in real life. The famous American reality TV show and the movie of the same name " The "Fuck You" stars are familiar with such "self-tortured" performances.
Seeing that the 61-year-old Jackie Chan is still struggling to perform all kinds of real action scenes on the screen is also really worrying. There is a line in the movie, Johnny asked Jackie Chan, who has been a police officer for 30 years in the movie, "Have you ever thought about changing the way of living?" This line seems to be an insinuation of Jackie Chan's life. The audience of the whole movie can pick out a lot of faults, saying that he is old-fashioned and illogical; there are many implanted advertisements and abuse of Internet vocabulary; however, the audience will still let go of their prejudices and start laughing along with the plot and characters. .
