I read a lot of great analysis and answered many of my questions. Although I still have huge doubts about the whole mother's dream, it seems that there is no complete theory that can convince me. Of course this is also a thousand Hamlets. After reading it, I feel that there are still many doubts that have not been explained clearly. For example, I personally think that there is no reasonable explanation for why the new teeth appeared. To sum it up, dentures are more likely than replacements (whether cloned or soul-transferred). But how to explain it? The director arranged such an impressive scene to see the complete teeth, just to show that the denture technology in the nursing home is superb?
After thinking about it for a long time, I think that a reasonable explanation is this, which is also the development sequence of the entire nursing home "patient" from admission to the extraction of essence:
1. Brainwashed (to obtain the essence of the human body, it is necessary for the "patient" to voluntarily become a distilled person, otherwise the effect will be mediocre or even reversed). As for the brainwashing process, it should be carried out through drinking water and various water-related activities. Reason: There were eel eggs in the water, which proved to be water taken from the aquifer. The direct drinking of this water is harmful to the human body. The film does not specify what kind of harm. I personally think that the toxicity of the water has caused the people in the sanatorium to be brainwashed (hallucinations, "I'm not well", although I don't know how to explain everyone's are the result of sickness not well hallucinations). The toxicity of the water you usually drink and use for spa treatment may be diluted, and the length and intensity of the brainwashing process also depends on the individual. For example, the male protagonist may be young because of his youth, and the old woman who pointed him in the direction may use his brain frequently because he likes puzzles and history. Therefore, the process of brainwashing these two people will be slow, and there will also be a process of "awakening".
2. Distilled, take out the essence and put it into the blue bottle;
3. When the "brainwashing" effect achieved through drinking water, spa activities and distillation process reaches the standard (there is a page in the screenshot of the play, the schedule viewed when the male protagonist is looking for the boss's position, there are many values in addition to the patient's position, which seems to explain The indicators of each patient), a very important indicator is the loss of all or a large number of teeth. The main evidence is that the male protagonist showed his new teeth for the first time, that is, when the female protagonist asked the ballerina to question, he said "why would anyone ever wanna leave here" for the first time. Therefore, when a patient replaces a complete set of dentures, he/she is deeply brainwashed and may need an initial distillation; dehydration to a certain extent and a large number of teeth are removed; and the distillation indicators are finally qualified. Nursing homes know this too, so they keep track of their patients' dental records (multiple dental x-rays) and prepare full dentures for their patients early on (on the cabinet in the dental office).
4. Distillation is repeated many times, the process will lead to a lot of dehydration, and if it is dehydrated to a certain extent, it will no longer be used and discarded (in the eel pond to be eaten).
All of the above are my personal opinions. They are my understanding of some doubts that I feel have not been well explained. Welcome to discuss together.
