The story is very simple, even a bit absurd. The style of the film is as loose as a French naturalistic novel. The French realistic critical novel is still relatively deep, but it is more scattered after Zola, and some of the later novels are simply arbitrary. However, the story is still a bit watchable, and it is obviously borrowed from American movies. A very rich man has a life crisis. First, he and his wife can't get pregnant. Second, his father-in-law and mother-in-law don't like him. One of the ills of the world is that more and more people are getting depressed, which is the ill of civilization. In addition, his gangster, the so-called friend, who committed some things such as carrying drugs, recruiting prostitutes, etc., caused him constant trouble. The gangster killed his old employee. He was a boss, but he was an accomplice.
