Another kind of hope ignited - extending views on euthanasia

Ending one's own life unnaturally is extremely immoral in any society. Some people will think that this behavior is a desecration of life, a waste of time and energy that friends and family spend on them. Even feel that the person who ends his life is selfish and can't stay with their relatives for a longer time?

Human beings always want to find a belief to reproduce and create the future, so there is the belief of God, "Hundreds of kindness and filial piety are the first". The opposite of "life" is "death", and what is "life"? What is "death"? Why are people "born"? Is it for God? for parents? Or the good life? Why do people "die"? Is it for heaven? hell? Or another expectation?

Maybe the protagonist in "Eternal Sleep" is "born" to travel around the world and to love the ocean and poetry. If you never have the opportunity to go out to see the sea or swim in your life, what's the point of living? It might be even more torture for him to live, and it's even more sad to see others work for him but can't do anything.

Choosing euthanasia does not mean that he does not love life, but that he loves life too much. He is willing to keep the best part of his memory, not those painful but powerless days.

Therefore, euthanasia can only be used when dying or suffering from a terminal illness. This is to ensure that the patient has the final autonomy in addition to dying in pain.

And what does it mean to die by choice? To get rid of the pain of living, or to go to the unknown world? In fact, at the moment of choosing to die, there is also an implied expectation.

This kind of expectation is not to live a good life in another world after death, and it is not to be dedicated to death, but to hope that this is not a beautiful moment, and the days that cannot even be called "life" can at least end as soon as possible.

We still have no way of knowing what we will experience after death, and in the face of irreversible pain, it seems that the unknown world is no longer so scary. In the comparison before making the choice, it seems that "going straight to the end of life" is a better choice than "living in pain and waiting to die".

And doesn't this better choice also mean another kind of hope? What was destroyed before was life, and what was ignited was hope beyond life.

The word euthanasia also implies a helpless choice of death. If I can choose how to die, I must choose the most peaceful, less painful way. And I hope that in the eyes of my relatives and friends, I have always been comfortable and happy. Let them remember me in the future, as I did the farewell ceremony and smiled at them that day, and let them know that having them is the greatest satisfaction in my life;

It's not that I end up with the tube inserted and suffer inhuman pain physically, and let them accompany me to bear the grief. At the end they remember me, and they will also be heartbroken for the pain I have suffered. Being forced to choose to leave is always painful, but if there is a way to ease the pain, it is to be ready to leave and make everything look as good as before.

Choosing to leave the world early is not a loss of hope for life, but another kind of hope that ignites. I hope that those who love me can continue to live well, remember the best days of living with me, and continue that kind of good.
