Recently, I watched a genre road movie and watched this "Taxi" at the same time. The camera is completely fixed in the taxi, without modification, without showing off the audio-visual, which truly and intuitively shows the current social status of Iran, and has a strong social awareness. It involves feminist issues, interpersonal issues, and work issues. It is a realistic film with strong political and social satire directed by Panassi. The scene is simple and the story is clear, but it can make the audience feel deeply helpless and reflect, and feel the humanistic feelings expressed by the director.
The small stories and people of all shapes and sizes have reflected the society incisively and vividly. Real art often does not need complicated handwriting, but has the power to directly point to people's hearts. Alas, the harshness of the Iranian system greatly limits this thoughtful and talented director. Here I end with the words of Jaffa Panahi. "I'm a filmmaker, I do nothing but make films. Film is my language and the meaning of my life, and nothing can stop me from making films. Because when I'm pushed into the deepest corners, I'm with Self-connection. In such a private place, despite the constraints, the need to create has surpassed the desire. I have a heart for film art. That's why I continue to make films no matter what. Only then can I respect myself and feel I am still alive."
