They shall not grow old…

A very special documentary.

These few days I have not been in a good state of study, so I just turned to this one and watched it. The restored images make World War I no longer a history book or the black and white impression on the photos. They are also vivid characters who smile at the camera and fear the weapons of war. They are really too brave. If it were me, I might have surrendered immediately (maybe suicide). I can't face killing people and people around me being killed. I've lost my life a hundred times, so cowardly, right? When I was a child, I also imagined that we should all be heroes in the war. It should be Qi Jiguang, every soldier who fought actively and devoted his life gloriously.

There are too many heroic characters in the TV series, which made me fall into the pride of this illusory blind heroism. I remembered my younger brother who liked watching patriotic war movies in his own country. He said, "I will definitely go to a war to change one." When I was very young, I liked camouflage uniforms very much and said that I would go to fight in the army. Compared to everyone who lamented his innocence, I made a sound that was out of place. Even though he was still young, I couldn't stand his admiration and ignorance of war, which should be stopped by all available means, it is simply not worth it.

I really hope that there will be no more dramas that beautify and simplify the war, and stop advocating this kind of heroism. How can there be so many heroes on the battlefield. After all, everyone is an ordinary person who needs to eat, drink and sleep. The battlefield is very messy. The president has lice, there is no way to keep it clean, and it isolates all civilized etiquette. I don't know if there are so many dramas of this type abroad, but I ask all domestic directors and screenwriters to do well, don't make it easy to be a sharpshooter, and encourage the use of life to serve the motherland. Don't let these children feel that War is so romantic. Let them listen to what the surviving veterans have to say and respect historical facts.

In fact, the people do not want so much, but they just want to live a good life. They are nothing but a group of high-spirited young men, and some of them were slandered by stray bullets before they started a family...

The movie's name comes from the poem "To the Fallen Soldier"

For the FallenThey

fell with their faces to the foe.

They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old.

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We will remember them.

…………

To the innermost heart of their own land

they are known

As the stars are known to the Night;

As the stars that shall be bright when we are dust,

As the stars that are starry in the time of our darkness,

To the end, to the end, they remain.

Double Eleven is a great day, not a business game for cats and dogs. It is the Armistice Day of World War I to commemorate the innocent people who passed away and survived.

After watching the 3D big screen, even sitting in the first row, the experience was perfect. Afterwards, I couldn't help but ask the museum staff who were present how to choose the materials. asks for everything, then you send him everything. And, the British really love making tea! ! ! !

  • Soldier: [waving at camera] Hi, mum.

  • Soldier: You don't look, you see. You don't hear, you listen. You taste the top of your mouth. Your nose is filled with fumes and death. But the veneer of civilization has dropped away.
