The film's original name "Russ and the Real Girl" is very specific and romantically summed up the essence of the story in one sentence. Learn to tolerate and learn to understand, so that life will be full of hope and love. In many cases, it is because of our incomprehension and non-communication that conflicts and estrangements are created. Just like in this story, Lars’ behavior is so weird, but because of love and tolerance, Lars’s behavior appears warm and sweet, and the inflatable doll made of plastic is really like a real one. Like a girl, it has injected new breath and hope into Russ' life. ——Aspiring young women

talking about inflatable dolls, as an adult, I can't look at it without color. Inflatable dolls are used to meet the sexual needs of adults. This is a commonly known role. As a masturbation tool, inflatable dolls are different from ordinary dolls or dolls, and they are completely synonymous with pornography.

Of course, the literal name of the film is not "Love of Inflatable Dolls", but "Russ and the Real Girl". Although this Chinese translation is straightforward, it does have some good intentions, which has played a certain misleading role. I don't know how many people with bad intentions went to see this movie for this translation, but didn't get the kind of fun they hoped for, and think this movie is boring. I don't know how many people like me are thankful that they haven't missed this movie because of this malicious translation.

This is indeed an odd story. A lonely man fell in love with an inflatable doll and treated her as a living woman. The weirdest part of this story is actually not why that man fell in love with an inflatable doll. The weird thing is that the first image of this story should be a farce, or a typical shit American comedy full of foul language, pornography and toilet culture. Because this subject is fully equipped to become a farce. Probably, no one would think of an inflatable doll as a pure and beautiful Barbie doll, as an object of confession, and completely ignore her as a tool for adult sexual masturbation. Therefore, the weird and special part of this story is that an inflatable doll that originally represented pornography has become an angel in the eyes of a man, a symbol of happiness and a carrier of dreams.

Therefore, it can be said that "The Love of Inflatable Dolls" is a strange but affectionate story. A lonely man who is not good at expressing words and does not like physical contact with people, but his heart is kind and pure. He falls in love with an inflatable doll, reads for her, sings to her, cares about her, and takes her to see a doctor to check her body. I don't care about everyone's eyes, and I join her in meetings and prayers... but I never thought of using her to vent her sexual desires. This sexy and graceful inflatable doll made of a pile of plastic suddenly became a pure angel, a pure and simple woman loved by a kind man. In this story, the inflatable doll seems to have become a real girl because of the strange love of men. And this girl is the lonely man, the most trusted person in his heart. She is a man's comfort for the shadow of his childhood life in the past, a man's hope for future life, and an encourager for men to enter the crowd and start communicating with people.

There is no need to analyze whether a man is a mentally ill patient, or why he has such feelings for an inflatable doll. I think this is probably not what the film wants us to see and think about. Although the film tells a weird story, there are too many touches. They are so sweet and warm, flowing on every character in the film, flowing in every detail, moved by the pure and simple love of men for inflatable dolls, and even more moved. The people around the man are concerned, tolerant and understanding of his weird behavior.

Although this is a weird story, the truth is flowing everywhere. In the small town where men live, people get along like a family. Although the director made this story happen in a cold winter, the picture is almost low-key and cool, but the snowflakes in winter give the story a fairy-tale and dreamlike feeling. The town in the story is as beautiful as a simple fairy tale. There is no indifference, no suspicion, and too many barriers between people. Everyone is committed to communicating, understanding, and tolerating everyone around them. The warmth of this small town is in sharp contrast with the indifference between interpersonal relationships in real life and the estrangement between people due to poor communication. Therefore, this beautiful and harmonious "white town" is like coming from a fairy tale world. That's wonderful.

The most touching thing is that people's tolerance and help to Ras. At the beginning of being together, Lars's brother couldn't accept that his younger brother would fall in love with an inflatable doll. This brother was restless and didn't know what to do, but the virtuous wife turned her love for her husband into caring and tolerance for her husband and brother. So, like Lars, they treat the inflatable doll as a real girl. I saw the husband and wife bathe the inflatable doll. Although the plot was really weird, it was very moving. I saw the couple mobilize the people in the town, tolerate Ras and help Ras together. I saw the silent support of the girl who liked Ras. I saw people invite inflatable dolls to volunteer in the community. I saw the whole The people in the community put aside their secular and prejudiced eyes and completely accepted Lars and Lars’s lover. Although this lover is just a dummy, everyone is truly just like him in order for Lars to be happy and happy. Fall in love with an inflatable doll.

Finally, Lars’s inflatable doll died. In fact, Lars wanted to face a new life and wanted to try a normal relationship, so he made a choice. Of course, you might think that in the last scene, the people in the town held a grand funeral for Lars’ inflatable doll. This plot is too absurd. That is, because you have not been able to understand the selfless greatness and warmth of these people's care and tolerance for Ras. Perhaps this is why, in reality, we no longer believe in beauty and no longer believe in fairy tales. I want to thank this movie, in a weird and grotesque way, let me once again experience the beauty and the power of love that have gradually been lost.
