It could have been better

After watching the first season, talk about your feelings.

As one of the few Cyberpunk-style sci-fi dramas, it is very appetizing in terms of subject matter. After coming into contact with "Blade Runner" and "Deus Ex: Human Revolution" a long time ago, I have been hoping to have a similar theme. That's right, it's this Netflix Dad's "Copy".

Still the same, sticking to the principle of not spoiling as much as possible, let’s talk about appearances first.

It can be seen that Netflix's production of "Dungeon" is still a copy, whether it is in terms of special effects or props, it is exquisite, at least in terms of the perception of my few American dramas (NETFLIX NB).

Personally, I feel that works of this type require a high degree of imagination in the performance of the picture. It is not like traditional space science fiction as long as a grand scene is enough to achieve the effect, nor can it refer to modern or post-modern technology like steampunk. Civilization creates. This kind of style should not only reflect enough sci-fi futuristic sense, but also create a unique decadent style that can be reasonably integrated into the story you want to tell, so that it all "works", really A very difficult thing... Of course, it is also a small shortcut to have excellent works such as "Blade Runner" and "Species in the Shell" to learn from.

"Dungeon" can be praised in terms of scene creation, prop selection (various weapons, costumes, etc.) and part of the action design, including the use of the camera lens, but after all, it is a TV series... There are no in-depth settings in these settings. The introduction may only depend on the audience's own brain.

Just put a few pictures, because my film source is 720, so it is not good, the original film is much better than this, let's watch it. .

Cyberpunk standard scene?

Interestingly, with the setting of "superstructure", the meaning is very straightforward

Domain of Majesty

There's something inside

Let’s talk about the character design (external), the intuitive feeling that I got after reading it - mixed joys and sorrows

First of all, there is a very subtle point~ It is well known that American dramas need to add some ZZZQ in it. It just so happens that the main object of the cyberpunk style is the struggle of the mixed people at the bottom of the "big mixed house", which makes "Dungeon" smooth. It integrates various national cultures and races into it without feeling violated.

However, this leads to... It's not that I have an opinion on this aspect, but it just gives me a feeling that it is necessary to force black and white matching, or it is incorrect (refer to Rick and the knife girl). In fact, this is not the point. Why is it mixed, because I personally think that the director's choice of important male and female actors has a serious difference in perception.

In layman's terms, men are pretty handsome (especially the male protagonist); women are somewhat... (not only in appearance, but also in performance), especially the afro head of the black brother's daughter, is this punk? mom…

Of course, this is purely subjective

Just put a picture, it's all cut by hand

"Oh huh? Isn't the heroine pretty?" I thought so too...

The real heroine (just looking at it is actually okay)

This is the hero, feel it

There are still many characters in the play that are not posted one by one. If you are interested, you can go to see the original film. Personally, I think the quality of male casting is generally higher than that of females. At least the features are obvious, which is a bit regrettable.

But there is one thing to say, most of the actors and actresses in this show have great bodies, especially the two male protagonists (ontology plus prosthetic body), who are Mr. Mighty per capita.

Behind is the heroine 0.0

Another point worth mentioning is that the action design of this show is very thoughtful. What impressed me is the part of the final arena of the sixth episode. That part looks very handsome and smooth, so there are not too many spoilers.

Next, criticize Yiha and tell the story, the first feeling after reading it - perfect high open and low walk

This seems to have become a common problem in most American dramas now, but "Dungeon" is a bit low, and even a bit anticlimactic. If you want to give a reference to the rating curve, it is probably 8.8.7.7.7.6.5.4.3.2... Such a cliff-like decline. Why do you say this, because it gives me the feeling that the more you go to the back, the smaller the pattern and the narrower the plot.

It's like someone telling me a story. This story takes place in the utility room on the eighth floor... of an office building... in a business district... in a high-rise, bizarre magic capital.... WTF! ?

It may be a slight exaggeration, but it definitely feels that way. At the same time, the poor characterization before the linkage caused some plot changes to look blunt. When I saw it, I didn't know what the main character of the main character was. At first, it was a special guy with Mo's feelings that ignored everything, and then passed the main body. After the plot, he has become a standard male lead who is extremely just and emotional; and the female lead, as a policeman, is an impulsive one from beginning to end, which is really a standard manifestation of too much acting.

Moreover, the theme of the plot has a serious sense of fragmentation throughout the whole story, because first of all, the theme of the play is about the performance of " how society will change when human life can be stored and transferred in the form of code storage and transfer indefinitely ". Imperfect characters appear awkward in the emotional conflict, and it is easy for people to "go off topic". The result is that both sides of the story are not well told. Another reason for this result is that many supporting characters have too little storytelling, and suddenly it's like this , the reason is summed up in one or two sentences, which makes people feel inexplicable.

I won't say anything about the specific plot, and try not to spoil it as much as possible.

Finally, let me talk about one of my favorite episodes in the whole show (speaking of spoilers?)

I made a clone of myself that thought and acted like me.

One day we were stuck in a place and only one of the two could get out. We looked at each other for a while and decided to go and stay.

The first time, we all made fists; the second time, we all made scissors; the third time, we all made cloth: the fourth time...

...

Someone came out, so who will this person come out? Is it the one who wants to win? still is……

The rating is 7.5, I wanted to give it 8.5, but the end is really pulling my hips.

This play is suitable for friends who like sci-fi punk themes and have certain requirements for visual effects but don't particularly care about the plot. The hero is handsome

PS I am looking forward to the upcoming 2077 release. This drama can be regarded as a snack before the game~

PPS this drama 18+
