The title of the film is placed at the end of the feature film, followed by the girl's firm eyes, "i am mother" is the girl's decision.
This article is not a film review, just personal understanding, the following content contains spoilers.
The whole film is about robots teaching human women how to be mothers. (As a father, this movie gave me some inspiration...)
1. Companionship: With the music of "baby mine", warm embrace, no toys, just hug, tell stories, origami, study... Companionship is the first lesson of being a mother (father)
2. Sense of identity: The little girl sits in a row with the robot mother, and the sunlight outside the small window is softly shining on them
little girl: i don't want to be human
Robot Mother: Humans can be beautiful too
3. The first good wishes for life: a very big family
4. Help for parents: help the robot mother repair her arms
5. Attitude towards life: Whether 5 people are important or 1 person is important is not a simple number question (this one is reasonable, but I believe that in specific real circumstances, there must be an answer)
6. Respect for the unknown life: can't bear to see the death of a mouse infected with the virus
7. Doubt: whether the outside world is really harmful, whether to believe the things that others say that you have not seen, including the later identification of bullets, why the heroine is No. 03
8. Basic hygiene knowledge: the second female is required to wear protective clothing before entering
9. The actual medical level: helping the second woman get bullets
10. Interpersonal communication and emergency handling skills: the communication with the second female, and the experience of helping the second female
11. Desire to reproduce: I like to look at the sketches of my little brother and feel silly from time to time
12. Frustration: The fear of picking up teeth in a cremator. . .
13. Trust: trust in the second female, trust in the robot mother
14. Courage and sense of responsibility: dare to open the door at the beginning, and then dare to come back at the risk of being killed. This also contains the sense of responsibility
15. Motherhood: The first time I saw the eyes of the embryo, and later I had to raise my younger brother by myself
16. Not selfish.
Throughout the film, the robot mother is watching the growth of the female No. 1 from the perspective of God. Assessment tests are everywhere, and the robot is extremely rigorous and procedural.
The second female may be test No. 2 or No. 1 (the female protagonist is No. 3). After calculating the number of days displayed at the beginning, it is 39 years from the start of the first embryo on the first day after the apocalypse. The robot mother's evaluation of the second female is Extremely selfish, and it seems to be the same later, thinking of running away regardless of the younger brother in the mouth of the female number one. The other abilities of the second girl may be better, but she was abandoned by the machine mother because of selfishness and became a pawn (it is not excluded that the second girl was cultivated in this way on purpose).
The machine mother's final assessment of the heroine: breaking the boat. Destroyed the machine clone in front of him and decided to raise a big family by himself.
At the end of the film, AI is AI, precise, almost calculating the details.
The ending is open-ended, and the AI training "mother" plan is now the end of a paragraph. In the future, the redevelopment of the new human society will depend on the heroine and her offspring.
There are also a few basic settings for the film:
1. How to cause the end of the world: The description of this is in the mouth of the second female, who can hardly breathe, and the army of machines will kill anyone when they see it; the mother of the machine will kill each other, and eventually self-destruction. Literally understood, it feels like there is no point in going deeper into this film.
2. Is it enough to cultivate the "mother" herself: there are so many empty beds in the baby nursery room, a large farm that has just been built outside, the outdoor air is gradually improving, and the base has almost all human knowledge storage, even including entertainment content.
3. The ending of the second female: another open-ended result. . .
