Prefer the original title of the film - "Klaus", which sounds like a biography, translated as "Secret of Christmas", a little less mysterious and divine.
The story begins with a young man named Jasper. He is the son of a postal tycoon. He has countless wealth and does not seek to make progress. He was finally sent to the northernmost island by his father and asked to send 6,000 letters a year. The letter can only come back, otherwise his inheritance will be cancelled. Jasper went to that island alone, Smithersburg. In the snow-covered world and the completely unfamiliar environment, for this pampered eldest young master from the big city, it was really a collapse of his wife.
The residents of this island are divided into two factions. They don't like each other. They fight and demolish all day long, and children are not allowed to play together. The world of ice and snow is quiet and beautiful, but there are hidden dangers. On the first day of the past, Jasper rang the war bells on both sides... By chance, Jasper visited Klaus, a carpenter who could make various gadgets, who lived in a remote area. It may be due to the living environment. The people in Smelansburg are tall and burly. At first, Jasper was scared to death by the other party. And klaus, from then on, Jasper became a messenger who helped klaus deliver gifts. Knowing that you can receive gifts by writing letters to Klaus, more and more children are writing letters to Klaus, and the confrontation between the two factions has gradually changed.
A year passed quickly, and the opponents of the two factions in Smithersburg felt that Jasper's presence had changed their lives, and tried to write a lot of letters, trying to get him to finish his mission and leave early. Soon, Jasper's father came to pick him up, but Jasper fell in love with it, and finally he chose to give up his inheritance and stayed in Smillensburg.
And klaus changed from a white-bearded grandpa to a white-bearded grandpa who gave gifts everywhere, to a white-bearded grandpa who delivered gifts in a car, to a white-bearded grandpa who was pulled by reindeer and delivered gifts in a car. The bearded grandpa, to the white-bearded grandpa wearing red clothes, pulled by reindeer, and delivering gifts everywhere in a car, yes, he is Santa Claus.
Klaus has a daughter who died of illness many years ago. Klaus misses her, so he makes a lot of toys and fills the house. Perhaps klaus has been lonely since Jasper appeared, and Jasper's appearance changed everything in Smithersburg. After knowing Jasper for eight years, Klaus disappeared, perhaps reunited with his daughter. Jasper missed him so much that every Christmas night, he would light the fire in the fireplace and wait for the night to come. The crisp bell sound was never absent, but the two never met again.
This is an animated film with a strong European and American style, but the whole feeling is very comfortable. The music is super nice. The plot of the movie is relatively simple, it doesn't need to use the brain, but it is very healing. Give it four stars.
