Everyone should have looked out the window in a daze. Although it looks like a daze, it is actually moving in the heart, thinking about someone or something. If you replace the window with a screen, and the seemingly unrelated people and things outside the window are a movie, what kind of mental activity will you have?
Antonioni's "Night" may be like 2 hours of scenery outside the window for some viewers. Nothing happened, but it was just a boring and ordinary day, which made people feel "boring". Usually, when we watch a movie, we habitually focus on elements such as plot development and actor performance. The picture itself has become a glass, but it is just for us to see the story we want to watch. But Antonioni's "Night" focuses on the information of the picture, and the storyline is secondary. Watching this film is like admiring a painting (Antonioni himself is a painter), the camera is his paintbrush, what he wants to paint, with which strokes and at what angle, is in it.
