Movies influenced by the name

I have heard the name of this film for a long time, but because of the title, I have not paid much attention to its content, thinking that it is nothing more than a romantic affair. It wasn't until a friend strongly recommended it and told me that it was very innocent, I decided to watch it with pleasure. After reading it, I nodded and said to myself: Well, it is indeed very innocent, and it is similar to "Roman Holiday". However, because "Roman Holiday" ended in tragedy, and "It Happened One Night" was happy in the end, the impression and aftertaste left by "Roman Holiday" will be more profound. Tragedy has always been more moving and shocking than comedy.

As for the title of the film, its original English name is It Happened One Night, which seems to be more appropriate to call it a night. Translating it into a romantic one night may be eye-catching, but it makes many people who don't know the plot shy away from fame, such as me. Another example is "Robot Story", a film that is obviously very good and warm, but with such a mechanical name, I almost missed it.

"It Happened One Night" was Clark Gable's famous work, his bad charming smile spread through this film, and later "Gone with the Wind" was out of control and became an eternal classic.

I remembered that sentence: There is no more Hao Scarlett in the world, and no more Bai Ruide in the world. Suddenly I was thinking, if this film was also played by Gable and Vivien Leigh, how would it feel?

In fact, from the technical point of view of that era, the movie is also very awesome. Emotions are right. It makes people feel that there is no such love today in an overly modernized world. Clark Gable is so handsome. Of course, together with Vivien Leigh, they are really a pair of beautiful people.

It Happened One Night quotes

  • [Peter is carrying Ellie across the creek slung over his shoulder]

Ellie Andrews: You know this is the first time in years I've ridden piggy-back.

    Peter Warne: This isn't piggy-back.

    Ellie Andrews: Course it is.

    Peter Warne: You're crazy.

Ellie Andrews: I remember distinctly my father taking me for a piggy-back ride.

Peter Warne: And he carried you like this, I suppose?

    Ellie Andrews: Yes.

Peter Warne: Your father didn't know beans about piggy-back riding.

Ellie Andrews: My uncle, mother's brother, has four children and I've seen them ride piggy-back.

Peter Warne: I'll bet there isn't a good piggy-back rider in your whole family. I never knew a rich man yet who could piggy-back ride.

    Ellie Andrews: You're prejudiced.

Peter Warne: You show me a good piggy-backer and I'll show you a real human. Now you take Abraham Lincoln for instance. A natural born piggy-backer. Where do you get all of that stuffed-shirt family of yours?

Ellie Andrews: My father was a great piggy-backer.

    Peter Warne: Here, hold this.

[Peter hands to Ellie the case he was carrying and slaps her behind for that remark]

  • [Peter makes a couple of "beds" from hay off of a haystack]

Peter Warne: All right, come on. Your bed's all ready.

Ellie Andrews: I'll get my clothes all wrinkled.

Peter Warne: Well, then take 'em off.

    Ellie Andrews: What?

Peter Warne: All right, don't take 'em off. Do whatever you please, but shut up about it!
