After 8 years, I still feel shocked when I look back at my favorite vampire movie at the time. Although there are some logical bugs, it does not hide the overall excellentness of the work.
Maslow defined the basic needs of survival as survival needs and safety needs. If these two points cannot be satisfied, the social, esteem and self-actualization above them must not be realized.
This film is like a projective mirror image of the real society. Although most of the performances are relatively shallow, there is one point that has been deeply explored, that is, the opposition and coexistence between the majority and the minority. Obviously, in this movie, they capture a minority, mutate into food, or a new majority. But the consequence of this is the collapse of the entire social structure. The collapse of the lower layer, the upper layer can not protect itself.
I still remember when I watched it 8 years ago, the most shocking thing was the title. The male protagonist was passing through the city center in the dark and saw a group of "children" smoking cigarettes, their eyes were quiet and hopeless. The freezing of life also means that society cannot flow, children will always be children, and adults will always be adults. For 10 years, lack of blood is just a catalyst for riots and chaos. In such a place where there is no way to grow up and society cannot flow, even if there is enough blood, riots will come soon.
Looking at the plot and setting, the gloomy picture of the whole movie, the excellent special effects from 10 years ago, as well as the shaping of the characters, and the scenes of blood flying are all elements that I love very much, and I am a little disappointed that there is no sequel or Spin-off series appeared, but that also kept him intact. It has also become a jewel in my vampire movie list.
