"Take half, keep half", this is the life belief of the female honey collector Hadiz. She is old and has no husband and no children. The only concern is her half-blind mother who is dying. The two live in a simple and even primitive way. The barren mountains of North Macedonia. The move of a family has changed everything. A couple is struggling to raise seven children. In order to survive and earn more money, the husband burns down trees and fishes out of the pond, which leads to the death of the bees raised by Hadiz. Death cut off her source of income, and Hadiz had no choice but to accept this change. The film tells the story in the form of a documentary. Human reproduction always contradicts nature. When the primitive economy in the film develops into a market economy, human beings' demands on nature become excessive, regardless of the irreparable damage caused. loss and harm to the interests of others. In the film, the husband promised to buy 30 kilograms of honey from a honey dealer at one time. He had to collect honey early. After his bees lost their hives, they attacked and killed Hadiz's bees. And this kind of behavior of human beings will eventually lead to self-inflicted harm, just like the cattle raised by the Sam family in the film died in large numbers and had to leave to find a new home. The film uses the original performance of the actors, the unpretentious lens records all this, and tells it all to the audience. This seemingly bland film language actually achieves a greater degree of shock to the audience's heart and brings them to the audience. Think deeply.
