Jin Min's works have always had a wonderful and unrestrained mystery, everything is so unreasonable, but everything is so real. The depressing world, the humid and sultry summer, the sound of tram bells are annoying, people have been in a state of powerlessness since they exist in this world as a whole. Human beings are so great, yet so small, that we have the ability to open up the world and build a great industrial empire in a short period of 500 years. Living in this greatness is just one small person after another. We are powerless. We are born to accept the rules set by society, bear the oppression brought by the world, and at the same time yearn for beauty. Delusions are the amplification of social anxiety, and the embodied baseball teenager exists in the world and in everyone's heart. Is it self-denial? Dissatisfied with the family? Obsessed with work and study? The death of a dog?
These anxieties are all around, some people escape to their ideal world, and some people face it bravely. Just like the police officer in the story, in the face of the pressure of life, should you compromise or persevere? Escape is a human instinct, a biological instinct. As an instinctive response, is it wrong to escape? I am not afraid to think that in the face of setbacks and anxiety, most people will choose to avoid it. As a human being, it is not perfect. It has to be admitted that people will be tired and powerless. But humans also have the courage to move forward. The final words of the story seem to imply "reincarnation", will it be another tragedy? Will anyone save me this time?
The needle will return to its original point after a week, and what happened in the past will happen in the future. When the background and setting of the story are changed, the same storyline will happen again and again, but is it necessary to look at the world in such a pessimistic way? There is no compromise. This is one of the reasons why human beings can survive to this day. When the ice age comes, we humans will not insist on living. When diseases are rampant, human beings are also working hard. We are the natural choice and the number Ten thousand years of trying to adapt to the results of nature, the future should be the same, maybe the world will go to the other extreme, our task may be to try to prevent those cruel facts from happening.
