Topics are confusing. On the surface, it seems to expose men's incest, immorality, inequality between men and women, and not treat women as human beings, but it also depicts the appearance of black people who are obsessed with pursuing their beloved black woman and are willing to do anything for her. And there is also a picture of a harmonious family in the film. The male protagonist relies on the female protagonist for almost everything, giving people the illusion that the male protagonist cannot live without the female protagonist and has fallen in love with her.
So the heroine's experience is only her own, she has no one to love, she has not met anyone who loves her, is this film telling girls to be beautiful to be loved by men? What happened to her was just because she was ugly and unrepresentative. This film is just a story of her cowardly, obedient, ignorant of resistance, and has nothing to do with race.
Too long to watch.
Just because it's a famous director doesn't mean it must be a good movie.
