Since it is a sequel, it is inevitable to compare the two works together. I watched it in an afternoon, and there should be no preconceived notions. I believe that this film is beyond the previous one. It is true that the first film has Jim Carrey's lineup and the original creativity, but the performance of the hero in this film is not bad at all, not to mention the appreciation of the human beings while being taught.
The story of Noah's Ark has appeared in the movie more than once, and to put this story in a modern metropolis, it cannot be said that the originality of the film is not inferior to the first one. I am surprised that the animals in this film are naturally so beautiful, but humans are constantly destroying these beauty for their own selfish desires. Modern people are busy pursuing material things, ignoring a lot, family, nature, virtues and so on. In ancient times, when the pace of life was not so fast, sages used fables to teach the world how to behave. Nowadays, movies have become a new carrier of fables. Of course, the gods are still the same, but they have changed their outfits.
However, I am not too impressed with this American-style humor, it is too exaggerated. This is why I don’t like the first movie. Without the support of the plot, the whole movie is Jim Carrey’s personal show. But thinking about it carefully, Zhou Xingchi's films are also so nonsensical, don't you like to watch them all. So, since you don’t have the cultural background and religious knowledge of others, don’t use your brains and just let God brainwash you.
