Gru and his new wife, Lucy, were kicked out by the Anti-Bad League because they couldn't defeat the big villain Brad, who wanted to destroy humanity. The Minions hoped that Gru would return to his life as a rapist, but Gru insisted on washing his hands in a golden pot. The Minions resigned in anger and parted ways with Gru. Just as Gru was looking for a new purpose in life, he met his long-lost twin brother Drew, who planned to join forces to capture Brad.
Gru used to be the most powerful super villain in the world, and was later drafted into the Anti-Bad League to fight crime organizations, forcing him to learn to be a good guy to save the planet. However, he was expelled from the alliance due to a failure in an operation, and his twin brother Drew invited him to resume his old business. In the end, the two brothers put on tights, incarnated as "black and white double evil", and joined forces to start a gang crime career.
