Bland, natural flow, superb craftsmanship but that's it

The movie was recommended by a friend and is told in a very peaceful tone.
From the download, I like the rhythm and way of the whole movie's plot advancement - the script is the same as the camera push and pull.
The plot is nonsensical and warm everywhere. The gay young man in Huaichun and the warm and simple woman are in the same room, and they know each other well, and there is no ambiguity at all. That woman mistook the man she liked as gay and introduced her to her close friend and roommate. The first meeting of the two men and the dinner mistake made the little gay think that the straight man really fell in love with him.
As the story is told, the secrets are revealed one by one, and in the end, the various matching schemes are really unexpected.
The male protagonist is handsome and cute, with blue eyes, spiky tiger teeth, shy and bold, and the misty love experience makes everyone laugh.
A good movie, worth watching again and again, at least I have watched it four or five times.
It is suitable for a person to watch quietly. I once watched it with a person I didn't know very well. His inattentiveness made me angry, and I really wanted to drag him out to behead and show it to the public, but because the two sides were not familiar with it, I gave up.

Love, and Other Disasters. There's Gwyneth at the end, I die laughing

Fresh and humorous. Love its interpretations and metaphors for "real" and "artifical" (or life and film, reality and daydream). In London fashion, life is surrounded by the media (a girl who identifies herself as the protagonist of "Breakfast at Tiffany's"). I love this unconventional plot. Unfortunately, there are too many points and the structure is a bit cumbersome. The male and female protagonists are very match! Glad it didn't give you what you expected, but it did give you the expected relaxing pleasure.

Love and Other Disasters quotes

  • Emily 'Jacks' Jackson: So stop living your life like you're in some kind of a movie.

    Peter Simon: Excuse me?

Emily 'Jacks' Jackson: Stop trying to cast your true love instead of just meeting him.

Peter Simon: When I meet him, I'll know.

Emily 'Jacks' Jackson: I'm not so sure. Love isn't always a lightning bolt, you know? Maybe sometimes it's just a choice.

Peter Simon: Well, that's easy for you to say! You're flying to Argentina to meet the love of your life!

Emily 'Jacks' Jackson: That's just it. I don't know that Paolo's the love of my life, but I've decided to give him the chance to be. Maybe true love is a decision. You know, a decision to take a chance with somebody, to give to somebody without worrying whether they'll give anything back, or if they're gonna hurt you, or if they really are the one. Maybe love isn't something that happens to you. Maybe it's something you have to choose.

Peter Simon: So what do I do?

Emily 'Jacks' Jackson: Well, you could start by putting all of those fantasies of true love where they belong, into your work of fiction.

  • Emily 'Jacks' Jackson: ...We can't have you all alone in London on a Friday night.

Paolo Sarmiento: You make me sound like an exchange student.
