Finally finished watching the first season on All 4, which was disconnected from time to time. I think this drama is really not suitable for science fiction, but should be watched as an ethics drama. After all, except for synths, the drama is no different from modern society (a slot is that in the first episode, synths are picking oranges in a greenhouse... all have synths Why do you use them to pick oranges? Don’t you think it’s inefficient? There have been orange picking machines decades ago!!) The theme of this show should be – with feelings, how should robots and humans be different? Are sentient robots without free will human? Further, what is a human being? How do you define living? In fact, I feel that these issues are not discussed in depth in the plot, but are presented in golden sentences (not that golden sentences are bad, I personally like "You probably gonna die! " "That's good. That means I've lived. " ) The rhythm of the plot is fast, but the 5-member team of the protagonist is slow enough, and there are basically problems that can go wrong. So I can actually understand my friend saying he doesn't like this show because the main character is not cute. How to say, there may be a lot of things that have happened recently, and I have a deep understanding of Murphy's law. I think this is more true. One of the major features of the robots in the show is that they really don't look like robots, which is one of the reasons why many people comment on the show. I think it's understandable that robots have these behaviors if they are set according to emotional robots. Each team of 5 has its own metaphor, Niska is my favorite among the protagonists, she represents human desire and darkness. Since she was born, her experience was different from other people's, and her attitude towards things was naturally very different, and her very strong moral sense was very understandable.
Another nympho - the scene where Leo looks in the mirror in episode 7, the muscles are really endless (it's true, I went back and watched it several times, but unfortunately all4 can't take screenshots!)! I remember when Colin was skinny at Merlin? He is still a veggie, how can his muscles look so good! The shots after that were all close-ups, and the close-ups of tears were almost taken on the face, so I was honored to witness how tears were shed when crying. I remember his tears really filled his eye sockets (the lower part of the eye socket, the tears stayed in the hemisphere shape tremblingly due to surface tension), and then the tears fell straight down in the blink of an eye (ah my heart is broken QwQ)
It's a pity that it was cut after the third part, and I was mentally prepared for the unfinished end. Anyway, I think the first one is pretty good!
