Relying on the original delicate structure and meticulous details of the novel, the narrative of "Wild Life" is smooth and tense. Paul Dano was not alone in the adaptation. His multi-talented girlfriend and actor, Zoe Kazan, who had participated in the screenwriting of the two co-starring films, was also bound to become his screenwriter partner this time. The way the two take turns conceiving and writing separately is obviously effective, and the play of "Wild Life" provides a good foundation for the performances of the actors. The actor Paul Dano's own acting experience and his further understanding of acting skills in the process of directing also helped him to better integrate with the actors. The actors seem to be an extension of the director's creative personality.
