On the thirteenth floor of a building, Professor Fuller and his assistant Hall used a computer to simulate a realistic Los Angeles in 1937. They could enter this world through a computer and experience life in 1937. One night, Fuller was killed in front of a bar, and various clues suggested that it was Hall. And Fuller's will shows that once he dies, all his property will be inherited by Hall. The police began an investigation into the case, and in the process, Fuller's daughter Shakespeare was born. Hall had never heard that Fuller had a daughter.

Having no memory of the night Fuller was killed, Hall had to testify against himself. So he found Elizabeth and found out everything she knew, apparently Elizabeth seemed well-educated and mysterious. In order to understand what happened on the night of the crime, Hall personally tried to connect to the computer and entered 1937 to see if he could find any clues. Hall came to a man named Henry. He found a dancer from that year and a bar counter, but he was sent back before he could ask. Hall ventured into the unknown world again, this time he found Mr. Fuller and came to the bar. Fuller told him that he had left a letter at the bar, which was for Hall. So Hall and the bartender got into a fight, obviously the bartender was not a good guy, he controlled Hall and put him in the trunk. At this point, Hall was rescued by colleagues in time. Hall learned what happened to Fuller at the time. It turned out that Professor Fuller was killed by himself in 1937, which is unbelievable. Elizabeth found Hall and told Hall's so-called truth, that Elizabeth was from the past, and Hall was actually a fictional character created by the computer, and the prototype was her husband. And her husband killed Mr. Fuller.

The police came to the location of the building, and Elizabeth's husband crossed over to Hall. In the end, Elizabeth killed her husband, and then transferred Hall and herself to another more advanced future society. It turned out that the world in which Hall lived was completely fictionalized by computer simulations. Too open-minded.
