Episode 1: Vanish Disappears
Last summer, a 13-year-old girl, Ann, was killed in the woods in Fengkou Town. Another 14-year-old girl, Natalie, went missing this summer. Camille was sent back to her hometown by editors to write this story. A typical American town, with quiet streets in hot summer, girls pulling wheels on the road, and beautiful bungalows. Camille seems to have a story in mind and drinking is like drinking water. From time to time, she flashbacks back to the log cabin she saw in the woods when she was a child. There are many curious photos posted on the wall of the log cabin, which makes people feel depressed. Camille returned home at night. The big green house. Camille's mother, Adora, wasn't at all happy to see her back, and it was clear that the two of them were not on good terms. There's also Camille's stepfather, Alan, in the house, a man who likes to turn up his music and obey Adora. And black maids who don't have much presence. The next day, Adora had a fight with her. Adora is upset that she asks about two girls in town, because it hurts her face. In the afternoon, Natalie's body appeared in the alley. Teeth were extracted.
Episode 2: Dirt
The Camille family, except Amma, went to Natalie's funeral. Natalie's brother John cried so hard at the funeral that residents were talking about an incestuous relationship between him and Natalie, and then he killed his sister. Instead of staying at home, Amma sneaked out and bought alcohol. It turned out that she was just pretending to be good in front of Adora. Natalie is a tomboy who likes to raise spiders. People in the town think she is a bad boy because she will bite people when she fights, and she is not a good girl anyway. A kid told Camille that he saw a woman in white taking Natalie into the forest. Richard bought a pig's head for research on tooth extraction and then used pliers to extract the pig's teeth (the picture was so heavy that I vomited), and after not being able to extract a single tooth, he came to the conclusion that this must be done by a man with great strength.
Episode 3: Fix
Camille went to the house of John's girlfriend Ashley. John has been living there these days. Ashley and John are interviewed by Camille. At the end there is a scene where Alan is weird, as if shouting? But no sound. omg Alan is not the murderer!
Episode 4: Ripe
Amma actually flirt with her teacher! Enough Nima is speechless. Camille takes Richard to the forest to walk the crime scene. Ashley pulled a bloody garment from under the bed and washed it.
Episode 5: Closer
Today is the town's Calhoun Day celebration, and every year Adora invites the entire town to her home to celebrate. This episode highlights the ivory floors in Adora's room. And Camille's injuries. She carved words all over herself.
Episode 6: Cherry
Police recovered Ann's bike from a mud lake at the slaughterhouse. The slaughterhouse workers said they saw John drop his bike here. So the police determined that John was the culprit and started looking for him. Camille went to visit Ashley again, but Ashley was talking nonsense so there was no value in visiting. Camille came home and Alan told her I'd kick you out if you pissed off your mom again. Amma took Camille to a friend's house party, the two of them got drunk and then pulled together to go home. Adora was standing in the dark in white, staring at them as they went upstairs. Thinking about it this way, could the woman in white be Adora? ! Did Adora do it?
Episode 7: Falling
Richard investigates the cause of Marian's death and discovers that her death was not easy. A nurse at the hospital told him that Adora may have Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy, a mental illness in which someone pretends to be sick or hurts them so that he can take care of them. Patients enjoy that feeling of being needed. This also explains why Adora takes care of 14-year-old Amma like a baby. Whether Amma is hungover or sick, Adora will give her the red potion in a blue bottle. Her own medicine. After John was arrested, Camille went to Jackie to ask her about Marian, because when she read Marian's diagnosis report, she found that Jackie's request to see those reports or re-diagnosis was all rejected. Jackie didn't say it directly, but in the end she said that Marian was cremated, and Camille realized (or was convinced) that it was Adora who poisoned Marian! A collapsed Camille calls editor Frank. Frank told her to stop reporting and come back, but Camille said she was going back to stop Adora.
Episode 8: Milk
Camille goes home and pretends to be ill to distract Adora from Amma. Camille finally needs me! Adora was very happy and gave Camille a red potion from a blue bottle. Camille who drank the medicine kept vomiting and could not even stand still. It must be poison. The phones were all put away by Adora, so Camille told Amma to run out to find Richard and ask Richard to rescue her. Richard knocked on the door at night when Adora was helping Camille take a shower, but Alan told him Camille wasn't there, so he left again. Hearing Richard's voice, Camille struggled to climb out of the tub and into Amma's room. Pig teammate Amma did not run out to ask for help. She said she wanted to be her mother's good daughter. I think she might have Munchausen Syndrome, a mental illness of pretending to be sick or self-mutilating to get attention from others, or a masochist. Because she knew that the blue bottle was poison! Camille fell to the floor of the room in despair. Then suddenly the police car came! It turned out that Frank came here specially when he noticed something was wrong and kicked the door of the police station. Very good! ! Police found the pliers used to pull Natalie's teeth in the kitchen, and the evidence was overwhelming, and Adora was taken back to the bureau. Then went to jail. (But it's still a little weird, did Adora pull Natalie's teeth out? Not something she would do. Alan pulled her out? There's no reason for it. How hated Natalie was to do such a thing. ) Amma moves to the big city with Camille and has a new black girl friend, Mae. One day, Mae's mother couldn't find her and asked Camille. Camille said she was hanging out with Amma. Camille stared at Amma's doll house, a doll house exactly like the green house they used to live in. She seemed to have noticed something was wrong and took a tooth out of Adora's room in the doll house.......
Got goosebumps? ! ! After the final episode credits, Amma and her friends kill Ann and Natalie together! ! What's even worse is the scene where Amma kills Mae! What's wrong with this girl! ?
So the truth of the matter is: Marian was indeed poisoned by Adora, but Ann and Natalie were killed by Amma. Although the little friend is an accomplice, Amma is the main culprit.
So the question:
1. Why did Amma kill those girls?
Killing Ann and Natalie was probably out of jealousy. Because Adora cares about them. John also said that Adora never gave up on the kids no matter how bad they were. Killing Mae because Mae admires Camille, and everyone likes Mae, she is afraid that Mae will take away her sister's love?
2. Does Adora know that Amma kills?
The tongs were in the kitchen, and Adora probably knew about it and went to jail.
And then the thing that baffles me the most about this show is Alan. What do you think? Alan isn't mentally ill like Adora, and I feel like he's soft-hearted at times, and doesn't have a good relationship with Amma. The only explanation I can think of is that he loves Adora too much, blindly.
Finally, a horror still is attached:
Mae's hand says call mom! Another finger says Text A. It looks like you have the to-do list in hand. But wouldn't it be weird to write on the outside of your finger? Wouldn't it be hard to see? I feel more that Mae found out that Amma was wrong and he was in danger, and he wrote a distress signal to Camille on purpose. But in order not to make Amma suspicious, he also scribbled something on the other fingers.
