Many people can be seen in Emma Morley. A pair of myopia glasses, a political and cultural shirt, and a double degree certificate in English history in his hand. Ordinary girls with dreams, as well as the thoughts of little girls. At the ball a year ago, there was a boy whom he had a crush on-Dexter Mayhew, a shallow, narcissistic but humorous and handsome playboy. I just can't hate this character. Just like "Those Years", the most painful thing about growing up is that girls of the same age are always more mature than boys. So I will tolerate again and again. He also wants to be successful, to make his parents proud of him, to be dignified and decent, not to be entangled in any trouble. Just like the worst student in the class wants to study hard, but he is lazy, stubborn, and likes to escape. Just like this, two people with completely different personalities, even different parties and beliefs, seem to be two parallel lines, and there should not be an intersection. The two met on the night of graduation in 1988. But this short encounter was deeply carved into each other's lives. In the past two decades, Dexter has experienced ups and downs in his career, the death of his mother, and the separation of marriage. Emma also tasted the bitterness of the little people at the bottom. They worry, talk, miss, fantasize, comfort, hurt, and always miss the moments when they need each other the most.
(Two thousand words are omitted here, I originally wrote a lot...)
On St. Wilson's Day in 2004, there was a light rain in the sky. Swim as usual, then bike to see Dexter. I vaguely felt that something was passing by on the left, my body suddenly became lighter, my face pressed to the ground, I instinctively went to look for a car, but suddenly I couldn't feel the presence of my body. More and more people came around, and they seemed to be very scared. What was going on, Dexter must be anxious. . . A picture emerged in front of him, Dexter holding his cell phone and looking out in front of the glass door of the coffee shop. He doesn't know where I am, he will be anxious. . . . Then the thoughts and feelings disappeared.
Emma Mayhew died. The
book writes Emma’s death so peacefully. It is this calm text that is so terrifying, unprepared, and suffocating. The entire sky collapses. It was overwhelming. . . . Why did David Nixon let Emma die? For more than two decades, it has been like a dream, a platonic love far beyond the physical and spiritual level. But this kind of ideal love does not exist. There is no prince and princess for a lifetime of happiness and sweetness. There is only firewood, rice, oil and salt in life. After marriage, there will be differences and quarrels, and idealism will deteriorate a little bit. Like a red rose, what is unavailable is always in turmoil, and if one is favored, there is no fear. Emma will not stand silently and give away forever. How long can Dexter's stubborn personality last? The selfishness of human nature is undoubtedly obvious. Choosing tragedy is entirely a pure belief in love. The platonic love that the author painstakingly manages will eventually be defeated by the secular. Only death can lead to eternity. Life is precious, love is higher. The cleanest love, the saddest ending. Why is it not too late to meet in a hurry, singing a thousand lines of tears, love is in the heart of souls.
The ending flashes back to my favorite, twenty-year-old Emma and Dexter ran down the mountain, flying youthfully all the way. In the same scene, a middle-aged man in his forties with white sideburns took his daughter up the mountain, and the daughter said the same thing as Emma. He looked at his twenty-year-old himself, the picture freezes, and it has become eternal. For more than 20 years, time has changed, and the mountain is still that mountain. You have given me the most beautiful memory in my life. "I wish you good luck in life" when breaking up. At the moment of turning around, the lights came on. . . We don’t know what the future will look like, but I love you and will never change in my life.
What is moving in the film is not love, but two intertwined lives. Let each other go, and know each other. There are no great people and no earth-shattering love. There are only two selfish men and women, from life, it is you and me, who inadvertently light up each other
's vows of the past, like colorful bookmarks in a textbook, depicting how many beautiful poems, but after all, it is a puff of smoke, the distant journey yesterday Dreams and laughter far away, how much distance we have gone through when we meet again. The story of life and farewell time changed two people, just in the sentimental youth that shed tears for the first time
