For me, this movie is one of those movies that I want to look back on after watching it once - although I probably won't watch it again hhh.
The overall plot is tight and well structured, and the two leading actors are handsome too - especially Kelvin Spacey! ! Hahahahaha. Of course, it was also suddenly discovered that Samuel Jackson had played the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. in the Marvel world, which was great!
Let's talk a little bit. One is about the walkie-talkie. I've been wondering exactly when Danny turns on the walkie-talkie towards the end of the movie. The video gives the walkie-talkie a shot before Frost enters the house, so Danny should be on. But what I have doubts is that the walkie-talkie should need to be pressed to talk, so is Danny pressing it all the time? Even if you get hit by Chris and fall to the ground? But then, why was the walkie-talkie on when Chris was helping Danny in the end? Conversely, if the walkie-talkie does not need to be pressed to speak, emmm may also press a button and the entire channel can be heard or something? I remember that the walkie-talkie appeared several times in the movie, but I was too lazy to go back and read it hhh, so if you watch it next time, pay attention? Also, if the walkie-talkie was on before Frost entered the house, didn't Frost hear anything at the time? I think a more reasonable explanation for this is that Frost just got off the car and was walking in the direction of the house. Hahahahaha?
Second, I'm so happy to know that Beck isn't one of those bad cops! Hahaha. Because I always thought he was bad before, but later I found out that he may be a little impulsive in his personality - otherwise he would not have hit his arm quickly when Frost was about to commit suicide, but people themselves are good, such as helping to arrange The ambulance and the like, hhh, it can be seen that he is also a little guilty.
Third, negotiation skills. This is actually a point throughout the film - after all, the name of the film is The Negotiator. Some other movie reviews have already summarized some of them, such as after watching movie to buy groceries tomorrow morning - Negotiaton Practices Negotiation Profound Truth (invasion and deletion ~ thank you)
Fourth, calmness, and trust between people. Funny to say, as an outsider I would think it was obviously a setup (by the way, Danny in the film was forced to speak out before he decided to stand up, which I think is right; and no one really thinks why it would be so coincidental) Or the other way around, if Danny really did it, would he leave all the evidence there and let people find it), I don't know if it's because the cops may have more eyes for sand, or because it's a normal day My partner and friends were more angry, and even Linda's reaction was a bit extreme to me - of course, it is understandable, it is human. Point being, calm down in case of trouble, calm down, many problems will be dealt with a lot easier. Speaking of trust between people, maybe this counts as a category of "empathy"? To put it bluntly, it is "empathy" (maybe a bit biased hhh). In other words, give tolerance. At first I didn't know what was the point of him holding those hostages, because I thought it was only a matter of time before they were breached. But he asked for an honest man, a good cop who had the brains and was willing to try to believe him, and things took a turn for the worse. So maybe, a lot of times, those who take hostages and want to negotiate just need a negotiator who is willing to try and believe them, and who is willing to really think about them (on a whim, maybe I'm suitable to be a negotiator? Deep down: emmm put you first Let’s talk about English when you’re good at it, hahaha).
Fifth, a weak joke: Although it’s cool to watch live broadcasts of this kind of thing (for example, watching the police fall from the sky), it’s still a bit risky, so I recommend everyone to watch the live broadcast on TV next time. Hahaha. Also, keep troops for a thousand days, and use them for a while. Hopefully those snipers will never be used, but hopefully, if unfortunately, their skills will be first-rate. Super thanks to Palermo and his partner (starting at 1 hour 9 minutes 49 seconds) for refusing to shoot: "Negative, Sir. I cannot take this shot." "Have a heart." There are many necessities, but one of them should be more than one person to talk hahaha)
Last but not least, the reason why Chris failed to persuade his wife and children at home at first, I personally feel is because his wife and children know that he can't do anything hhh - it is the so-called fearless~
On August 23, 2010, the hijacking of Hong Kong tourists by ex-policemen in the Philippines resulted in a heart-wrenching result—those are not numbers, but living families torn apart. As many other critics have said, the first half of what happened was very similar to the movie, but then it was very different. A film review has already made a good interpretation of this incident, that is, the shadow of the Philippine hostage incident 12 years ago , so I will not play the ax here (again, invade and delete, thank you~). But let’s borrow the same sentence from Mr. Lu Xun : “The brave man is angry, and he draws his blade to the stronger; the cowardly is angry, but he draws his blade to the weaker. ”
May our world become an ideal country that can stay closed at night. May all negotiators, police officers and other people from all walks of life do their best. Most importantly, I hope that one day, every ordinary person, Willing and able to get what you want, deserve, and deserve through your own efforts - may the world be at peace.
