"Disaster Artist" is very special, and a bit touching, the first half is quite fresh. When I saw it, I didn’t recognize James Franco. I really enjoyed the performance. He also played the robber in the second story Near Algodones in "The Ballad of Buster Strugs", with black humor and evil. It is really good for Franco to have fun in such characters.

The film is adapted from the memoir "Disaster Artist" and tells the story of the shooting process of the cult film "The Room", as well as the contradiction between the two protagonists during their appreciation of each other, from carrying dreams of sparks, to being covered in bruises and ups and downs, laughing and amazed. At the same time, mixed with a touch of touch and sadness. The first half illuminates the dream, and the second half creates the scene of a movie disaster.

The guise of making a big bad movie contains a force of growth. This is what Franco makes me admire. On the way to my dream, I met a like-minded friend who wanted to expose himself, show himself, and be immersed in what I wanted to do. On the other hand, I was like a madman out of place. Now my talent is seen, I can help him, We encourage each other together, we can do something together, because we have the same smell and the same goal. This kind of friendship is inspiring, bragging, desperate youth, holding fingers to agree on dreams, and then breaking into the dream city.

The land of dreams encloses restrictions, ambition, strength, luck and good popularity are like mountains. When Greg said he was going to move out, Franco's heart was broken. They didn't like me. They didn't like my performance and thoughts. Greg stepped into the torrent of life, and then began to grow a big beard. Franco, who was alone, guarded the small flames in his heart.

When Greg looked up and saw the huge outdoor advertisement of "The Room", he was shocked. The premiere was so much fanciful that he was scorned and unwelcome all the way, and finally took shape, but even so, the result was still ridiculed. And was labeled as a bad film.

"Disaster Artist" uses a ridiculous way to describe failure, the attitude of failure, the kind of tears in the smile, I know I am bad, I realize it, but I still want to do it. It's not unscrupulous, but also sensitive and worried, worrying about gains and losses. Such clumsiness and perseverance are also just to touch people's hearts, because basically most people are busy showing their intelligence, no one likes others and doesn't like themselves, and insists on doing one thing. Things that others don't like are really too difficult, but Franco did it.

Don't stare at my toy crab, it's shy.

Very pure joy. At the end of the movie, it did not give a relatively clear point of view and comment on this "wonderful work" through the ages, but paid tribute to / fooled the whole process by digging up the story of the characters. Do you think Franco really made Hosso sparkle? I think there is. But after all, the movie is submissive to the masterpiece, and it lacks a bit of its own opinion.

What a pathetic, ridiculous, hateful idiot! But in the end, it's really cute...Don't say it, James Franco's acting is really similar, especially the two "hahahaha"...haha~haha~~~

The Disaster Artist quotes

  • Henry: [Post-Credits scene] Hey, how are you doing?

Tommy Wiseau: Fine. Yeah, I'm fine. Why you ask?

Henry: Why are you standing against a wall?

Tommy Wiseau: Look, I just a guy leaning on a wall! No big deal!

Henry: Why you so lonely? Tell me.

Tommy Wiseau: What? I'm just standing here alone. Don't mean I'm lonely.

Henry: You need help, I see it.

Tommy Wiseau: It's not pity party, it's just party.

    Henry: You go with me?

    Tommy Wiseau: Go where?

    Henry: To my house.

Tommy Wiseau: [pause] I'm not going anywhere with you.

Henry: You think you have long hair, you own the world? Is that the idea, huh?

Tommy Wiseau: I stop you. I stop you right there. What is this accent? It sound familiar. You from New Orleans?

    Henry: Yeah, so what?

    Tommy Wiseau: What part?

    Henry: Chalmette.

Tommy Wiseau: I love New Orleans.

    Henry: You know where Chalmette?

    Tommy Wiseau: Yeah.

Henry: Okay, cool. You want a drink or something?

Tommy Wiseau: No. I'm not thirsty either. I just want to stand here.

Henry: What's your name? Tommy, right?

Tommy Wiseau: Yeah. My name's Tommy, with a capital 'Go away'.

Henry: It's okay! Have a nice one. Okay?

    Tommy Wiseau: Okay.

    Henry: Okay, bye.

    [leaves]

    Tommy Wiseau: [confused] 'Kay...

Henry: [sighs] People are very strange these days! Oh, hi Betty.

Tommy Wiseau: My god... Who are these friends Greg has?

  • Juliette: [as Tommy is dry-humping her navel while filming the sex scene] I think you're aiming a little bit high.

Tommy Wiseau: I aim where I aim, just do the scene.
