I watched the entire first season at 4:30 in the morning, and I didn't feel sleepy. The faces and dialogues of the characters are all rolling in my mind.
Where do people come from, where do they go, why they are born, and what is the meaning of life. The Buddha has asked himself these questions, and philosophers have asked himself. I think you and I must have questioned them more or less in my heart.
Life is full of twists and uncertainties, so people become fragile. But the long river of history has never stopped the pace of advancement, we are still multiplying from generation to generation, evolving.
Have you ever thought that at this moment, when it is of no importance to you, there are still hundreds of millions of people on the planet experiencing their birth, old age, sickness, death, joy, anger, sorrow, and joy. Crying for the first time, enrollment of young children, graduation ceremony, job interview, wedding ceremony, or sad loss of job, death of a loved one, illness, embarrassment, disdain, even sin, etc.
But this is us. We look forward to redemption and self-salvation. We are afraid of killing but continue to kill. We have love but cannot speak. We look forward to communication but are blocked.
A large part of this play records the culture, society, religion, art and people of several regions in the world. There are several scenes that are very impressive. One is that young Kala crawls into the bottom of the statue in Ganesha's parade, climbs up, and sees the crowd intoxicated in singing and dancing through the eyes of the statue. Thinking of that line again, I see through Ganesha's eyes. The poetry and spirituality in it need not be expressed. There is also Wolfgang in the bath, and then feel that other people bring out the scene of intercourse. There is no sense of obscenity, but it makes people feel dreamy and beautiful. And when Railey went back to Iceland to listen to his father's performance, everyone saw the picture of his birth. Although the scale was huge, I couldn't help crying.
There are also a lot of LGBT elements in the film. I don’t know if the director has projected his own experience into it. I love the weight and rhythm of his writing, which is just right. It makes people have due respect and objective examination of these people in their hearts. .
In short, it's been a long time since I watched such a drama, and I look forward to the next season.
I sincerely thank the director, screenwriter and actors for their hard work.
