Ip Man 4
The Ip Man series is over. I really watched these 4 movies since I was a child. I even bought a wooden dummy to practice by myself, which shows my obsession at that time, so now after watching it, I feel like I need to write something to commemorate it.
The story of this film basically takes place in the United States, so the film starts with a brief introduction to the reason for going to the United States, and was invited by Bruce Lee to watch the game and find a school for the child. The Ip Man series is not only about creating a generation of master Ip Man, but also a good husband Ip Man, a good neighbor Ip Man, facing the national crisis Ip Man, this part wants to supplement Ip Man as a father, but the content is not rich enough, father and son The contradictions are not complicated, but they cannot be solved. They are running around for the future of their children, and it seems that they also see the figures of contemporary parents.
Later, Master Wan and his Chinese Association appeared. The masters in the seats were all arrogant, but they couldn't hold on for three seconds in the arena later. I can't blame them. I have to make room for the protagonist quickly. If you voluntarily admit defeat, you can only be brutally kicked off the ring. But I'm used to it, Ip Man seems to have this kind of ornamental characters in every movie, and he really doesn't have time to shape them, but the handling of this kind of star-gongyue is not very clever. Ye Wen then played against another powerful opponent of his own camp as usual. In the second part, there is Master Hong, in the third part, Zhang Tianzhi, and in the fourth part, President Wan, the two will definitely fight back and forth. Ye Wen is polite and modest every time, and the attack is moderate, but the opponent's attack is fierce but he can't win, which implies that Ye Wen is actually superior.
After watching Bruce Lee's performance, the two master and apprentice came to the restaurant. Unfortunately, a group of foreign contestants refused to accept Bruce Lee's kung fu and wanted to learn from each other. Bruce Lee responded with a smile and told the master that it was normal, and then came back. Bruce Lee himself opened a martial arts hall. This kind of challenge would be regarded as a kind of provocation and trouble in the first part of Ip Man, called kicking the hall. However, Bruce Lee didn't take it seriously. He was very civilized and confident. Knowing that Ye Wen finally told his son, "No matter what you do, you must be confident." Did he experience it from Bruce Lee. The foreigner who competes with Bruce Lee seems to be very serious. When you really hurt him and conquer him, he will give you a thumbs up. The foreigner is still relatively simple. Also as Ye Wen's apprentice, Huang Liang (second Ministry) and other martial arts disciples have attracted a lot of revenge and trouble, the sinister hypocrisy is still the Chinese.
The villain this time is somewhat similar to the boxing champion Tornado in the second part. He is arrogant and rude, and he also looks down on Chinese kung fu. However, Tornado is practicing Western boxing. That kind of contempt is derived from contempt for race, which is relatively reasonable. And this Marine Corps officer is practicing karate. Karate originated in Japan, and it is also a foreign martial arts for Americans. If you accept karate, will you look down on Chinese Kung Fu?
Ip Man's last two films are obviously not as good as the first two films, maybe he has seen Wing Chun's fighting scenes many times and lacks new ideas. I have seen how bad Wing Chun boxers are in the fighting circle. At the same time, I learned Sanda in school. I feel that modern fighting techniques are simple and practical. There is no need to fool people with profound and mysterious boxing principles. The skilled combination of movements, of course, professional training must also include combat training and fighting awareness training, but the easiest way to pose in a conflict is the fighting stance rather than the hand.
