The writer in the film is obviously alluding to Stephen King
. There are several scenes that are very deep
1) The heroine swallows the keytooth
2) The bar owner raises a gun at the protagonist who just entered the door (MS watched it again in Resident Evil 2)
3 ) The old lady of the hotel was standing at the counter and her husband was on the ground.
It shouldn't be a very good movie, but I watched few movies back then, and I think it's really good...
