I think Devourer, as an arrogant habitual criminal, didn't expect to be caught and killed. And this is entirely because Hailey, who has not been understood since childhood as an outsider, easily accepts the existence of supernatural creatures and persuades the protagonist to investigate. Otherwise, I don't know how many victims and wronged people there will be. Not everyone in the protagonist group believes in the existence of the Devourer. Everyone has their own reasons to pursue it, but the news brought by Hailey at least allows everyone to find a new direction instead of being stuck in a dead end. People always only see the truth they want to see, and make things reasonable to make their logic acceptable. But there are too many things in this world that we cannot understand with common sense. Good movie, worth watching. The final soundtrack is strong, eerie and depressing, and the thriller atmosphere is well set off.
