A person, put on a coat, can become a parish priest. Take off your coat, maybe it's a criminal. It's not just Daniel's story here, it could be the story of each of us.
A person's emotions cannot be hidden in the eyes. When Daniel helped the prison bully lookout, his eyes were indifferent or empty and ruthless. When looking at the old rival Bonus, it turned into provocation and murder.
When he walked out of the correctional center, his eyes were full of wanton deeds, and he looked like an indulgent beast.
He walked out of the sawmill and sat on the grass on the top of the hill smoking a cigarette. There was a kind of melancholy in his eyes in the smoke, until he heard the bell of the church in the distance, and there was a hint of softness in his eyes.
Later, he temporarily became a pastor. When praying and preaching, his erratic eyes gradually became confident, gentle, joyful and peaceful.
When he was doing a dying mass for an old man, he held the old man's hand in a panic, and said tenderly, "You will not die!" He wept.
At the last Mass, he skillfully operated the remote control, and the carols sounded, but he also bravely took off his priest's coat. The person who once guided good deeds finally deprived him of the opportunity to do good deeds, and he returned to the correctional facility again.
A person who has seen the sun, a person who has enjoyed the treatment of priests, will fall into the dark abyss again, despair, is there only despair and helplessness?
The final outcome is unknown, he seems to have gained the strength to defeat Bonus, but he also escaped, where is he going this time?
This ending, which I personally don't like, is a bit baffling and seems unreasonable.
Some lines must be recorded: 1. It doesn't matter where you come from, what matters is where you're going. (This actually shows that Daniel has a heart of repentance) 2. Do you beat your children occasionally or often? It's better to ride a bike with your kids. (Perhaps the same is true for his family of origin in his childhood, otherwise why is it so "penance"?) 3. Silence can also be prayer. (His sermons are actually very down-to-earth. Everything starts from the self, and he longs for redemption, and the inner waves that roll over may not necessarily be spoken.) 4. Breathe in and breathe out...they don't feel ashamed because we miss them. (The pain of losing a loved one may require such a loud cry, and it cannot be suppressed all the time. Daniel actually released his own pain through this. His kindness was activated.) 5. Forgiveness does not mean forgetting, it means love. Love a person despite his guilt. (Who is innocent?) 6. There is also a female lead singing a song, there are three little birds on the green Lyme tree, ... in fact, they are three brothers (the three little birds are not necessarily little birds, they are brothers too , then why aren't the neighbors around you brothers and sisters? They are all oracles)
