Synopsis

Lynette (Lois Kilis) and Jackie (Mia Farrow) are good friends.

Lynette inherited the family's property and is a wealthy daughter, while Jackie has gained a beautiful love, and has a fiance Simon (Simon McCorkindale) who loves her very much even though she is poor.

This day Jackie came to ask Lynette for one thing, hoping that Simon could work in her manor.

After the meeting, Lynette saw that Simon was tall, handsome and extraordinary, and quickly agreed.

Unexpectedly, Simon and Lynette got together soon after. The two abandoned Jackie, got married quickly, and went to Egypt for their honeymoon together.

Jackie was very angry. She never thought that her best best friend would take everything from her.

So she decided to follow the two to Egypt to interfere with their honeymoon.

On the way, they boarded a Nile River cruise ship, in addition to Lynette and his party, there were many tourists from all over the world.

The famous great detective Poirot (Peter Ustinov) and his friend Colonel Rhys (David Niven) are also on the cruise ship. Poirot discovered through keen observation that the tourists on the ship seemed to be all rushers. Came with Lynette.

Novelist Salome (Angela Lansbury) is involved in a lawsuit with Lynette over the copyright of her novel.

Widow Mrs. Van Schuyler (Bette Davis), a widow with dirty hands and feet, takes a fancy to Lynette's precious pearl necklace.

The maid, Louis (Jane Birkin), is brooding about being detained by Lynette.

There are also Dr. Bethner (Jack Warden), lawyer Andrew (George Kennedy), nurse Miss Powers (Maggie Smith), etc., all seem to be very unhappy with Lynette.

Of course, the most noteworthy is Jackie, who has been following Lynette, she even brought a small pistol.

A woman who is mentally beaten can really explode at any time.

It was getting late, Lynette, Simon and other four people were playing cards in the boat hall. Salome's daughter Rosalie (played by Olivia Hussey) was sitting and reading a book, when Jackie came in.

She was drunk, dragged Rosalie to complain, and deliberately amplified her voice to disturb Lynette and the others.

When everyone saw this, they could only disperse, leaving only Simon to sort out the mess.

Simon was very angry at Jackie's repeated interference, and quarreled with Jackie in front of Rosalie.

The drunk Jackie finally had a seizure. She pulled out a pistol and shot Simon, the bullet hit him in the leg.

Simon screamed and fell to the ground, and Jackie was so frightened that the gun fell to the ground.

The sound of gunfire just alerted the young Jim (Joe Finch) who was nearby. He and Rosalie helped the collapsed Jackie to the room and called Dr. Bethner to treat Simon's wound.

However, when Jim returned to the boat hall to retrieve Jackie's pistol, he found that the gun was missing.

The missing gun indicates that something is going to happen, and sure enough, the next morning, Lynette was found dead on the bed, and the murder weapon was the missing small pistol...

Video Analysis

Agatha Christie is the most famous British detective novelist and the best-selling author after Shakespeare, and "Murder on the Nile" is one of Agatha Christie's representative works. Agatha's works have a characteristic, almost all characters have a certain relationship with the victim, almost everyone has a motive to kill, and the film also dramatizes everyone's possibility of committing crimes. Again, very interesting.

The film has a strong cast, and more than five actors have won Oscars. After all, a wonderful group show cannot be separated from excellent actors. The performance of many actors and actresses can be said to be easy, especially the pair of Poirot and Colonel Reiss. CP, always brings us a little humor when we are nervous, making the movie watching process more relaxed and enjoyable.

When I wrote "Strange Banquet" before, I mentioned that the classic reasoning stories that can be passed down by future generations must be exquisite modus operandi. The reason why this work is so famous is that it has been remade several times after being filmed. In addition to the unexpected plot settings, it also has its inner theme, "A woman's greatest wish is to make people love her."

In the film, the heroine Lynette is a wealthy girl, and has become the target of public criticism because she inherited her father's huge fortune, but what is wrong with her?

Isn't it true that she is going to sue the novelist Salome for violating her reputation? Salome wrote Lynette into her novel without her consent, and the reason was because of the "popularity". Lynette's popularity was enough to make her novel sell well. Not only that, she also described Lynette as "like a A erotic monkey", a compliment, and a writer like that has to pay for what he has done.

Nurse Miss Powers blames Lynette for her family's decline. please! In the shopping mall, which successful businessman has not bankrupted several of the same industry? Besides, what does this have to do with Lynette? Besides, don't you have to work hard for your own life? It can be seen from the attitude of Bowers' daily life that she has been living in the shadow of the decline of the family, and she has always been brooding about the fact that she should be a wealthy daughter, but lived the life of a servant, and she was jealous of Lynette.

The maid Louis called Lynette a "mean ghost" because she couldn't meet her demands. Is Lynette mean? I do not think so. First of all, at the beginning of the film, the conversation between Lynette and Jackie shows that she has investigated that the man Louis likes has a family, and the probability of always asking for a dowry is to cheat her of money. Here we can see that Lin Nate is responsible for the maid. She doesn't want her maid to be deceived. For a millionaire, the maid's dowry money is not worth "mean" at all. If the only problem might be that Lynette's way of expressing it is too direct, it feels arrogant.

Regarding Dr. Bethner, Lynette said bad things about him in the outside world, but it was also his own fault. He claimed that he did not use the wrong medicine. "I have used this medicine before, and it has always been effective." This sentence is almost true Hammering him is indeed a quack doctor. As a doctor, you have to be responsible for your own patients. Your patient is crazy after you get the injection. Do you still want to put the blame on the patient?

There is also Mrs. Van Schuyler, the widow who wanted to steal the necklace, Jim who secretly called Lynette a vampire, and Andrew, the lawyer who wanted to embezzle the family property. They showed us their greed and hatred of wealth, and exposed the selfishness of human nature. And desire, it all goes to show that the most innocent person happens to be the richest Lynette. Look at the reaction of the maid Louis after learning the truth, not to avenge the deceased, but to extort money. On the other hand, Lynette, she fell in love with a poor boy with no money.

If she was at fault, it might be her only fault, falling in love with someone she shouldn't love, her best friend's fiancé. But love is definitely not a one-sided thing. A stalker is not called love, but it is called cheap. Love is two people who voluntarily stay together and put it into all beings. Lynette is much richer than Jackie, but the moment she heard that Jackie has a fiancé, she was in a mixed mood, believing that if she was given a choice, she would definitely not choose wealth, but have a man who truly loves her.

When men scolded women for reality and material things, did they ever think that those women who gambled with their life's happiness in return were deceived and betrayed? They once believed in love, and their greatest wish was to have a man who truly loved her.

Early adaptations of relatively successful reasoning films, the acting skills are in place, and the role modeling is very successful.

Nice movie, I personally like this type of suspenseful reasoning, but some clues are too deliberate
