too poor

The rhythm is so bad. It's obviously an indescribable horror story. For the first half hour, I was talking about a family's daily life. It felt like I was watching some kind of emotional drama that tricks cats and dogs. There are too many shots of unimportant things, but incomplete shots of important links. For example, when the first supernatural event happened, the scientist ward experienced a strange fog, the car started by itself, and no one spoke to the call. As a scientist, let's not say whether he is afraid or not, the camera suddenly shifted to the next day. . Are these events just for us to see? Can't affect ward? Anyway, very concerned. Halfway through the plot, the truth should have come out through Ezra's mouth, but I can't feel the indescribable feeling of "It turns out that it's so cold behind me". The atmosphere is too bad compared to Annihilation i of the same type. Although I haven't read novels about love craftsmanship, but other people's works have to tell a heavy atmosphere. The color of the stars is only scary when it should be scary, and it does nothing at other times. I can only wait for the next explosion point, then startle, and then wait for the next explosion point. . . . Can't enjoy any other time anyway.

The important clues are not fully explained by the camera, and I have to guess or play it backwards. If I watch the movie in a movie theater, it will be very bad.

And I don't know how the original book was written, but the first half is a kind of feeling that the family escaped all the supernatural events by luck and didn't know that they were in danger. The final explosion didn't feel very cool, and the screaming didn't feel very cool either. What about letting people lose san? It's all about monster styling? It's a good breakout at the end of the short film. But as a feature film the pace is too bad.

Color Out of Space quotes

  • Nathan Gardner: Who's this?

Lavinia: Oh, this is that weird guy I met by the river. Sorry, what was your name again?

    Ward: Ward Phillips.

Nathan Gardner: Let me guess. Boston.

    Ward: Providence, actually.

  • Ward: [using Ezra's headphones] What exactly am I supposed to be listening to?

Ezra: The people under the floor, dude. The aliens. They're there.

Ward: Well, yeah, it is strange. But it's probably geothermal activity or magnetic distortions.

    Ezra: No, no.

    Ward: Something like that.

Ezra: They came on the rock.

Ward: Look, no offense, Ezra, but that's pretty out there.

Ezra: You don't get it, do you? It's not out there. It's in here. It's in the static. It's in the moisture. Up is down. Fast is slow. What's in here is out there, and what's out there is in here now. Comprendo?

Ezra: Um, look, why don't you think about getting out of here for a while? I'm gonna be back tomorrow. I'll have some more equipment with me. I'm sure it will all make more sense in the morning.

Ward: Morning? Dude, it's already morning.
