When watching a movie, there is not much ups and downs in the emotions, just like reading a plain story, but there are more interpretations of the pictures. Until the end of the film's ending song, I still can't get out of the story.
This movie is not like other movies that give people emotional outbursts, crying moments, and thunderous applause. He is unpretentious and relevant to all of us.
Have you ever had a moment like this, when you were depressed, troubled, or happy, you couldn't wait to find someone to vomit, and opened the address book, but stopped at the bottom. The most familiar friend knows you too well, and the unfamiliar does not need to talk about it. At this time, I really want a stranger who doesn't know you, not even your name. He listens to your obscurity with the utmost patience and responds. The hero and heroine of the story are all like this. One is a housewife. Her husband is busy with work. When he comes home, he just stares at his mobile phone and is suspected of cheating. One is a man who has worked in the workplace for decades. His wife passed away, and no one around him could listen to him. He smoked a cigarette at mealtime and watched the happy gatherings of other homes, and went back to his own home to eat simple food alone. When such two people met, they started to communicate with each other in such a special way without any hesitation.
In the middle of the story, the man observes the different small details in what the street artist looks like in each painting, and chooses to do a tuk-tuk to observe the city where he has lived for decades on a congested day in Mumbai. Isn't it the same with our lives, what seems to be the same every day is actually changing. Some people, some things, do not deliberately remember, do not tell, will really forget. People who were once bright have long been blurred in their minds. Do you still remember how you felt about the things that once made you happy? You even forgot that you liked the person around you so much. Don't deliberately stop to think about it, and hope to keep the little things around you.
In fact, the story has the best ending for both men and women. A man has gained friendship with his younger generation, and he is not alone. After the man returned to his hometown, he picked up the children's balls. It was no longer a scolding. The waving of the children in front of the window made me reminisce to this day. Women have gained the courage to move towards that happiness transition.
They didn't meet, it's life. Sometimes, the wrong train always takes you to the right place.
ps: Some details in the movie made me ponder, such as why the man didn’t train his juniors at the beginning, and the man told his juniors not to resign but ended up on the train going home. This reversal includes how many days and nights the man has been tossing and turning. The writing is limited so I won't go into details. Thank you for reading this.
