In fact, after watching the show, each character has a small clear label. What Lenny represents is faith. Crazy kindness cannot replace faith, nor can self-redemption shrinking back. Faith, even in its demise, is still powerful, but it doesn't always make things better. The source of life goes to Venice with the trend of thought, and the maternal power of the church is pure charity after all. After Faith dies, only well-intentioned secularism can take his place, because Faith embraces and blesses every believer before death.
