Deep space amnesia, deep thinking

Although the scene is not grand, and the plot is not so tortuous and attractive, it is the most in-depth one of the American science fiction films I have seen: deep thinking about the past and future of mankind.
On the one hand, this is a very realistic film about the future. According to the current population growth rate and technological development rate, the growth in demand for energy and resources will far exceed linear growth. How long can the limited resources on the earth last, maybe decades, hundreds of years, but not too long. Mankind either develops new energy sources, uses new energy efficiently, or explores living space beyond the earth. The United States and Europe have already begun to figure out similar plans. A species without natural enemies either reproduces over time and eventually goes to extinction in a limited space; or it continues to expand its living space until it encounters a "natural enemy", that is, a creature that is more advanced than itself.
On the other hand, the film is not only an imagination of future technology and human development, but also a profound reflection on the formation of a society and the formation of human nature. When the earth sent the final signal to tell the people on the spacecraft that the nuclear war broke out and the people on the spacecraft were the only human beings. A civilized system that once existed along with the values, moral standards, and legal regulations that existed in this system are all annihilated. In the face of the remaining thousands of people asleep, the three drivers in a waking state can completely get rid of the shackles of their original thoughts and behaviors, and redefine the rules and standards of the entire society. So a cannibalistic society was formed, and mankind began to evolve in a whole new direction. The seemingly distorted process of this simple group may be guiding people to think about the process of any social formation.
A hypothesis that loses all constraints and all constraints, really guides people to explore what is the most real need in people's hearts, what is the moral standard, and the basis for the formation of the code of conduct. Can people kill their own kind, or even prey on their kind? Is competition dominated or collaboration dominated? The form of social organization, the criteria for judging the merits of individuals, the form of sex and marriage... etc. When a person gains absolute freedom, how to think and how to act. On the other hand, the thoughts we now identify with, do we really identify with or just maintain and follow a habit.

It's neither terrifying nor terrifying, and there's nothing new in the sci-fi shell.

Either survive fortunately, or die first unfortunately. Sometimes, adaptation, or breakthrough, is not just a choice.
