Like evil but not evil, neither evil nor evil

The biggest reversal of the plot is that a person who was identified as a murderer and behaved like a murderer was killed by someone who looked honest and honest but was a real murderer. And the person who was determined to be killed by him was also killed by this honest man.
This is a place similar to the west. It seems that there is no law to rely on. The underworld people have become accustomed to it. It has become the norm to use bars as money houses. Everyone knows it, including the police. It was originally speculated that the times would be a bit longer, but some people watched the NBA in the bar and talked about the Stackhouse hat LeBron. That was the first thing that happened in 2003 or 2004.
Bob is like a person who survives in this environment. He doesn't cause trouble, but he's not that weak. When the bar was robbed, he raised his hand but didn't show any panic. He even looked at the second hand on the robber's watch leisurely; dealing with a broken limb is like dealing with a sausage. In such an environment, you can be different, but at least you have to show an attitude. I don't mess with anyone, but if you want to get me, you may get a mess. The good people will never survive here.
Keeping a dog is actually related to loneliness. Anyone needs to find a responder, no dialogue, no logic, as long as my actions, you can respond.
In the end, Bob hoped to exchange ten thousand dollars for peace, but Eric had to do something he couldn't manage.
He didn't hesitate to shoot, like a veteran, at least cruel enough. He really wants everything to go on normally, but it can't affect his life. If it makes his own life worse, he will shoot-even if it is a last resort-and he will not be soft.
Recall that for ten consecutive years, the people who commemorated Rich Whelan’s drink were actually seeking atonement for their sins, just like he went to church all year round but did not eat the sacrament. This does not mean that he is a good man, this is his atonement.
Nadia's consternation was because of the disillusionment of an ideal. She once said that Eric was very young when he was young. Many girls fell in love with him, but turned into a bastard. Therefore, when the good man in her mind changed his face in an instant, she couldn't accept it calmly.
But the fact is like this. This is an environment where good people cannot survive, and they will become evil if they survive. But evil has many aspects. In such an environment, Bob's evil is more like non-evil, even to eradicate evil. The director gave a suspenseful ending with no suspense, but we all know that this is definitely the best choice for Nadia.

The Drop quotes

  • [first lines]

Bob: [narrating] There are places in my neighborhood no one ever thinks about. You see them every day and every day you forget about them. These are the places where all the things happen that people are *not* allowed to see. You see, in Brooklyn, money changes hands all night long. It's just not the kind you can deposit in a bank. All that money needs to end up somewhere. They call it a drop bar. A bar the bosses choose randomly each night to be the safe for an entire city. You never know up front when *your* bar becomes the drop bar. You just take all the city's dirtiest money and bag men come and go from all over town and nobody ever sees it coming. Nobody ever sees it going. And then they could tell you to be the drop bar next week. Or maybe even next year.

Bob: The point is, you never know. In the meantime, me, I just tend bar. And wait.

  • Nadia: He killed a kid named "glory days."

Bob: Yeah. I heard that. Yeah, I heard that. Richie Whelan. And... Why?

Nadia: I don't know. He's not a big fan of "why," Eric.
